Mother 3's soundtrack just doesn't hold a candle to Earthbound's, mainly because (outside of the battle themes) it's a bunch of remixes of a few themes. It's also shorter and I liked traveling around the world more than staying on one island in the middle of nowhere. All that aside, it's a damn good game in its own right. It's funny like its predecessor in spite of being far more bleak. And if you didn't cry at the end, you're lying.
I must disagree with one thing, excluding His Highness theme, none of the themes are remixed more than 3 times.
I could play this whole song out just looking at the title. The one moment in the game where you feel completely safe and happy.

The world would be a better place if people could just play the translated version without feeling like a clandestine or if fans were allowed to finish an homage Chrono Trigger game.

I have not played this game, but it is such a beautiful looking game for gba standards. Also, i need to listen to the soundtrack too.

I still haven't replayed this game, but I really want to. It's my favorite GBA game, that's for sure. Just like Earthbound, there's simply nothing else quite like Mother 3, a rollercoaster ride of emotions. This simple but memorable little theme instantly reminds me of the intro of the game, before the main story unfolds like an inevitable train wreck. Shigesato Itoi is definitely a master in his art.
What the hell, Supra? i just finished this game like an hour ago! And this theme is one of my favorites too. hum. Well, i guess life is just as weird as you make it to be. Loved this game and everyone who loves good music and games with love put into them, should play.
