this town theme seems to get more and more depressing as the game progresses, fitting the overall mood of the game perfectly.

Mother 3 is probably my favorite story driven game of all time (I specify story driven since Smash Bros is my favorite ever). It was such an amazing experience and it never lost my interest. I have never played a game quite like Mother 3 and I don't think I ever will again.

This is the game that made me realize how powerful video games can be at triggering the emotions of a player. Never before had I expected anything as crazy as what happened in the prologue to ever happen in a video game. Lucas has been my main in Brawl forever just because I feel that I should honor his pain in some way.
Yeah, before there is a Mother 4, I really would want a Mother/Mother 3 International localization. It would make a lot of sense, considering the fan base the Mother series has got in recent years.
This game is slowly rising up my list of favorite games of all time. Itoi created such a great story and while I really wish we had a Mother 4, I feel like this game ended the trilogy in a great, emotional way. Sakai's huge soundtrack fit the whole game perfectly. This track is a great example, with its hint of melancholy you know the town's momentary happiness is only a cover to something potentially terrible happening.
Man, Mother 3 just has an excellent soundtrack that goes with the plot.
Mother 3's already on the top of my list of favorite games. It's a masterpiece in my eyes, and the soundtrack feels so cohesive even though it's immensely varied.
If you like the Mother, you might like a small indie RPG that came out recently called LISA: the Painful RPG. It has a similar vibe to it, is pretty interesting story-wise and has fantastic music, too
this game is a 10/10 for me, my favourite game ever also the only game that's made me cry
I'm really looking forward to the fans's Mother 4, actually. It looks promising and the character design is great.
