if any of you would like to play the game again or are interested in starting it it's on the PSN store for i believe 5.99 i barely played it as i never owned the first playstation but it was one of the best decisions I've made!
I'd love to play it again, but it's difficult to find the time these days.

such a good OST. It's interesting how polarizing CC as a game is/was. many vocal fans of CT seems to loathe it but I really loved CC right away, and I'm a huge CT fan (played it when it came out in 1995). It has a very dream-like quality to it. The plot is a convoluted spin-off of CT but the basic premise of CC is very universal: what if you made a different decision 10 years ago? what if you ceased to exist? how would things have turned out differently (for everyone)?

You understand exactly why video game music in general appeals to me. Many others have laughed about my tastes over the years, but I don't think anything strange of it. The right soundtrack can transport you to a new world. Listening to this, I feel like I am in the world of Chrono Cross, and I remember the good times I've had playing it nonstop. I love feeling like I'm a part of such a magical world.

The music in video games can be so overlooked its not even funny. With this game the soundtrack was critical in displaying themes and emotions. When it comes down to it the music was a very important part of developing the plot.
I find it amazing that I haven't played this game, much less heard this song in about 10 years.. yet the moment I hear it again, I'm able to whistle along with it perfectly, as though I heard it playing just the other day. That's how you know a piece of music is good.

@iamian4life I hear you there, this game definitely made me stop and think about was going on at a lot of parts. But once you put all the parts together (especially if you've played Trigger) and can get over the initial MINDFUCK, it is a fantastic story.
Marbule Island is one of the most Beautiful on the map!

@stridren It's actually kinda funny, because I saw Chrono TRIGGER for DS in the store and had a "ZOMYGOD THE SOUNDTRACK'S AWESOME" moment, so I bought it without knowing anything else. And it is an interesting game, even if I hate the character art.

this is such a great game, people who havent played it should try looking for it on ebay :D they still loads of it, or try downloading it and playing it on an emulator its really worth, it. great music, great story and just really gets you thinking and appreciating lots of different things in life.

Chrono Cross has the most complete and lovely soundtrack that I have ever heard. Its beauty never gets old.

different characters, different plots, different systems, you have much more choices in Chrono Cross but I personally enjoyed Chrono Trigger much more, maybe I'm just old?

It's good, don't get me wrong. My 5/5 tracks, off the cuff: Time's Scar Beach of Dreams Reminiscing Lost Fragments Prisoners of Fate Garden of the Gods Radical Dreamers - Unstolen Jewel There may be others, but those i know were keepers for sure.
what songs do you consider 5/5? CC has one of the most brilliant, expressive tracks ever.
Not the best from this soundtrack, but it's not a huge complaint in the grand scheme. I found CC to have plenty of 4/5 tracks, but not so many 5/5, so to speak.

has a sound of legend of mana. Alot of people disliked that game but it was actually my first mana game so it may not of bothered me as much as others when it's style was changed from Secret of mana. But even after playing the others, Legend of mana is my favorite :) I always keep an ISO of it for my PSP on the go^.^

I might just be mixing the music of the games together. I'll need to go back and play ToS again and find which part I was thinking of if that isn't the case. ToS and CC are two of my favorite games. They're both so beautiful, too. :)

Was this song also in Tales of Symphonia? I remember it from CC, of course, but it also seems like it was in ToS. Hmmm... I have yet to find any sountrack that measures close to the brilliance of Chrono Cross. It's such an amazing game and the music is incredible. Certainly a masterpiece.
I bought Cross for about fifteen dollars on Amazon. That was only about a month ago, too.

Hmmm... There's Spring's Gift and Summer's Cry, which are used as fanfare, and are remixes of Lucca's Theme.
Another Arni. Death Sea-Tower of Ruin. Garden of the Gods and People Seized with Life (Dario), are others great songs.
Actually, the Home World world map theme is a remix of the Chrono Trigger main theme ( : That's the only one I can remember, though.
I forgot... Which system was Chrono Trigger developed for? I've been wanting to play it, as I sort of lost interest in Chrono Cross (I intend on finishing that game eventually!).

I don't believe so, but I like Chrono Cross's soundtrack better. Chrono Trigger's a better game though.
