@robloxianmaster Has it? I've yet to play a newer game that has the sheer epicness and badassery OoT still posseses to this day. I'd say gaming truly peaked in the late 90's, and has been falling and rising continuously since, with a few games approaching this level of quality. Producers are mostly too concerned with graphics and online multiplayer nowadays, not with making a game's core gameplay good.

I'd recommend picking up the anthology version that was released on the Gamecube. The graphics are actually better than the N64 version's, not to mention the Gamecube controller is less bizarre.
If you think the Fire Temple is a bitch, wait till you get back to the Water Temple. My girlfriend, a novice-gamer at best, was playing through this for the first time recently, and she was stuck on that temple for hours. All I heard was profanity coming from the other room.

I played that game and even at the very first level, the insides of the tree guy, IT WAS MUCH HARDER THAN the normal version. If you beat master's quest then the water temple must have taken you hours. Good job!

isn't it sad that most people don't even talk about the theme but only about the game? the only truth here is: everybody has his opinion and everybody is allowed to have his own opinion. there is no fact here - it's all about you preferences... i personally am not the biggest fan of this game. i enjoyed it but i prefered some other zelda games (and i'm not the biggest zelda fan). the soundtrack is outstanding though
I agree that the final hour track was awesome but theres way more notable tracks just as or better than that in OoT. Some of these would be Volvagia's theme, the songs on the ocarina, Ganondorf's Theme, Hyrule Field, The lost woods, Boss Battle, Windmill Hut, Temple of time, the ones you mentioned and even the credits lol
When it comes to terms of music, Ocarina and Majora's Mask are equal. The most notable music of the two in my opinion is Gerudo Valley (OoT) and the Song of Healing (MM). What i don't understand is you stopped playing possibly the best game ever made because of Hyrule field when your barely even in it for a fraction of the game. This tells me that your quick to judge games. If you had of got a decent ways into the game, you would have found out that YOU GET A HORSE, lol
Most people dont appreciate OoT because they wanna be the odd one out and choose a different game. The truth is OoT is the best (notice how i say are, not were). I agree that Majora's Mask had more feeling (Especially the Kafei event) but when it comes to story, Ocarina knocks MM out of the park. WW was good but it just felt too happy ALL the time. WW had the weakest story of those 3, but still had a good story.
um..id say majora's mask is ALOT worse than ocarina...you cant even compare the two honestly

people could aswell say killzone 2 or gears of war 2 are best (which usually last 2 months) since they're throwing in a title like OoT to the best games of all time. this is what I say, PLAY OoT, BEAT OoT. and you'll understand my friggin' point.

this song's great but the game's terrible and so repetitive.. always going to another dungeon and dirt place and shit.. the game never get's fun. and I played through parts which people say is the best parts of the game and it felt boring all the time. if we're talking about a good game it's resident evil 2 or something.. jesus I'm never playing OoT again, well.. I will.. to defeat it. and I'm getting real close.. but it's not good like people say it is!

I love this game, I'm happy to still have a N64. My favorite is Majora's Mask though. I'm not sure why people seem to hate it.
