It's hard to come up with something that sounds so much like Ennio Morricone's work from The Man With No Name trilogy as this does. Anyone's who's listened to The Good, The Bad and The Ugly soundtrack will hear clear influences from not only his sound, but from the note sequences. I still like it.

It was made to be a tribute (as were a lot of things in the game) to The Ecstasy of Gold from The Good, The Bad and the Ugly of which Clint Eastwood was in.

Yeah, directly inspired. Most Wild Arms music is Morricone inspired.

It's not. They paid a hommage to western movies with this game. Even the intro music of the game was clearly inspired by the theme from A Fistful of Dollars.

My brother started playing this game the other day. Whenever I watched him, I would whistle along with this tune. Its such a good world map theme!

almost would say that it's a rendition of EoG, but it is completely different, and does have a way different feel to it. Both are excellent tracks IMO. Love the part where it climaxes with the horn. :)

Wild Arms soundtrack was inspired by Morricone without a doubt. He is truly one of the greatest film composers ever.

I remember when I use to play this I'd just sit on the world map just to listen to this. Its obviously inspired by Ennio Morricone's music which I am also a fan of.

yeah, like the other songs of WildArms I like this choice of yours for this List of "Best VGM". It's a rare and almost unique soundtrack I suppose.

Equipment didn't really do much in the first place, and instead you have the whole skill equipping system. And... I generally prefer ACF's music, but honestly both soundtracks are pretty awesome.

You may want to consider trying Alter Code F instead. It's basically an updated remake of the game, using the standards created through WA2 and WA3. There's a lot of new stuff that helps the game feel even more strategic and in-depth, and it doesn't feel so old anymore, even if there's still no voice acting.

Played this game recently, really awsome music. but the combatsystem is horrible outdated now so it wasn't really an enjoyable experience for me.

Ecstasy of Gold by Morricone (from the classic movie "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly") was obviously the direct inspiration for this track. :P
