Parts of the melody really remind me of that of "The Palace of Versailles" by Al Stewart.

Would love to see a Golden sun come to the Wii U though I doubt that will happen since its been handheld exclusive so far.
It'll be good on the Nintendo Switch. You would be able to play it on your TV and on the move.

i felt the new one was too easy and ended quick, but it was very good never the less. i liked the graphics/story/music, plus it had all the old golden sun goodness except with a new look. i suggest you try it out its worth it.

I've listened to other Sakuraba tracks, but this entire OST holds a very special place in my heart.
@SupraDarky The DS one has really easy RPG elements but the puzzles are really fun. Make sure to get all the Djinn though... it has some cannot-go-back portions of the game.

Good choice. This is the one song from Golden Sun that really stood out to me. The synth during the bridge and especially the chord at 00:41 is pure ear candy.

I only have Golden Sun: The Lost Age. I think that game has the best battle theme ever.
This is a good pick; this theme always make me remember the very first time I played Golden Sun. It really is a theme of "adventure begins."

Dark Dawn was a disappointment. It was undeniably Golden Sun, but there was something off about it. I also didn't like how they spent hours talking about the old characters (like Ivan and Mia), but they never actually showed up in the game!

@jdng86 you take that back right now (It wasn't as epic as the first two games, but it was still a great game-better than many others out there.)
Dark Dawn is quite average - the difficulty curve is off, the world closes off behind you, the beginning is a bizarre, cliched and un-engaging mess - and on top of all that, it's as talky is the first two games. Considering its legacy, Dark Dawn is a tragedy.
@jdng86 i liked it wasn't comparable in musics but better for battles system and unveiled more of the story. kind of like the path that series has taken.
Too bad the Dark Dawn sucked.

Golden Sun. Oh man. I remember I took my cousin's copy of his game because I couldn't believe how good this game was. But he found it and took it away from me haha. But now I found it for really cheap and I am glad I own the game xD.
This game has infinite replay ability. And when you finish the first one, you know you just gotta go on to The Lost Age. And hell, while you're at it you might as well play Dark Dawn and not let the saga die.

The second I saw this in my subscribed list, I knew the nostalgia would hit me like a tonne of bricks. From the number of times I have played this game, and it's first sequel, I don't need to actually play the games to relive the fantasy. The stories of Isaac and Felix are always churning around in my imagination, and no other game series to date has had such a lasting effect on me. Truly, two of the greatest things to happen to the video gaming industry.

Just got Dark Dawn in the mail yesterday, so this was perfect for my Golden Sun mood!
2 is much longer and has much more ass kickin' summons, but 1 will always be my favorite RPG of all time :)

This game defined my childhood. I love Sakuraba's music largely because of this game. The best song was probably Saturos' battle theme but the Vale town theme screams beginning village music. Great pick.
I don't like the GS games myself.
Playing this game was very memorable, I couldn't believe how nice it looked and sounded for a portable game, and an RPG too. Loved it. I also really liked Golden Sun 2, but at that point I already knew what to expect. I have yet to play the new one on the DS.
