The first six notes are the exact same as the leitmotiv of the soundtrack "Breakdown" from Diamond Is Unbreakable. Funny how Castlevania and JoJo have been referencing each other for decades now.

To me it sounds kinda like a factory. Not the gloomy crusher filled ones, but more of an investigation with conveyors and gears.

PERFECT song to whistle along to!
This song comes early on in the when the player is growing in power fast, and the enemies aren't too hard. Combine these elements with the style of the music, and the vibe I felt was that I was strutting around the castle like I owned the place. Very fitting, and very awesome.
this game easily has one of my favorite OSTs of all time... every song from it just feels like a lot of work went into it, and as a result it just sounds like one of the more inspired castlevania soundtracks from the metroidvania era
When I was about 7 and I first played this game, I always had the village and this stuck in my head. Never got past here though. XD

Yeah, sometimes we (net users) say stuff we dont truly mean to say on here.. happening on the spur of the moment.. not really realizing what hurtful things we type. For the ds DOS has the best amount of items (souls) and it´s very fun OOE is the most difficult of the three...stupid hard level 1... and POR for me is the best but is too easy even in level 1

@heyjeySigma easy ones? The NES ones were hellishly hard, the SNES ones were good especially super castlevania 4. But hose games are pretty different than the ones that are about exploring, to me these are on another level.

yeah... u know, i apologize. I was quite harsh in my response...sorry that was a stupid thing of me tos say. Not everyone has played everything, even though it may be a very popular title and all... it's just that i've been playing Castevania since i was 11-12 and it baffled me that someone else didnt ever try the games out... yeah to answer ur questions, I think you should start castlevania games from the basic, easy ones, and work ur way up =)
Easily the catchiest theme in the game.

get an ps1 emulator and download Symphony of the Night(the best castlevania ever,and one of the best ps1 games) or buy dawn of sorrow or portrait of ruin(both 9/10 games)and yeah play em they are da shit

This is so awesome! Castlevania is one of the series with the most consistently awesome soundtracks! Up there with Final Fantasy and Sonic!
