Almost the same opening of Terranigma - Crysta :) thought it was an arrangement at first
DC and DC2 were highly addictive. Underrated games. To me there's hardly another game like them :)
My very first PS2 game... this brings back lots of memories.... :)
I only played it for few hours as a child while visiting a friend. I liked the concept and the music...

A Dark Cloud HD Collection is too good to be true, but still... would be so incredible.

I keep hearing about soooo many RPGs! I don't know which one I should play first! I wonder where I should ask...
I bought the game a few days ago, and now I'm rebuilding Queens. This and Wise Owl forest are definately the best songs so far (I never noticed WOF on the list before!). I really don't like the battle theme though.

yep that was seda when he was king he fought in a war, his army got pwned hardcore, then a demon granted him black power and after he won the war some guy killed his girlfriend and his rage gave birth to dark genie and you come in and kill it then you cacrifice the atla stone thing to save his girlfriends life and make him happy killing the dark genie forever or something
dark cloud 2 was a real disapointment compared to the first one if you ever get a copy of the first one, your lucky

Oh yeah, he destroyed it and before everyone got destroyed the Fairy King then put them all into Atla. Then you got the final place (it slips my mind) where you travel through time and that guy sacrifices himself to allow you to travel through time.
No one died. The towns got wasted, yeah, but the Fairy King kept everyone safe. Atla for the win.
I only ever played the second game, did this one's story connect to it at all? The music seems just as good as it was in Dark Cloud 2, or I guess it just didn't decline in quality
Matataki Village the place that got massacred by the Dark Genie and you as well got killed and thus began Dark Cloud.

Samurai legends is the sequal to Musashi?, never play'd the first one then but i still have the second but its like Sephiko said + the ending was not as i expected (not romantic enoth)i did hope for a ..well in this case a 3:rd game with the same charaters from the second :P
It was kind of short, the voices were bad, the plot isn't that special, and there's a technique that makes you invincible that makes later boss battles a breeze. I didn't even get touched on the final battle... But other than that, all the music was great, the environments were colorful, and the character/monster designs were cool. It was often challenging too, plus there's a hard mode after you beat the game (enemies are tougher).
I thought DC2 was a good game with very good cel-shaded graphics. To be honest, I've never been a fan of randomly generated dungeons so that hurt it a bit, but I know a lot of people who really loved it. I think it's the game that put Level 5 on the map.
It's a very charming game, though obviously an early PS2 game. Did you like Musashi? I've yet to try it and I generally heard mixed things about the game.
Since I've finished SL: Musashi now, I'm gonna go hunt for this one. This song's very relaxing, thanks for sharing.
