This game and Marvel vs Capcom are easily the fighting games I played the most during that console generation. It's only later that I learned the Playstation port of this game was lackluster compared to the Saturn version, mainly the absence of tag team combat and missing frames. Still, I had tons of fun with it and I'd always use either Ken, Wolverine of Sabretooth. Good times.

I remember reading that the PS1 version of MvC didn’t have the tag team mechanic way back in the day in GamePro. I wondered why they even bothered- that’s the entire point!

Saturn was underrated especially sound and innovation wise. Mega man 8 was also better and the music was more on point. i just wish they coulda stayed around longer if not them then dreamcast

@agthaog1986 Brother... Mega man 8 anniversary edition on Sega saturn is awesome. I bought Mega man collection on Xbox one because this game and Rockman 7 (Snes). Unfortunatelly, Capcom put Playstations version in all mega mans collection. Other case is Castlevania SOTN, in Sega Saturn is awesome... Sorry for my english 😅

I think you misspelled the composer Yuki Iwai in the description. She also did an incredible job as the sole composer of Mega Man X2!

this is the game that started it all..Qsounds really shined on this one....between this and street fighter alpha 2 it was soo many classic melodic gems. i will forever love the way this game came and changed the whole fukking game....will we ever get a solid depiction of Gambit like this ever again??? game, movie...please somebody help

So...Cammy is roofied, Rogue just caught Gambit in bed with Colossus and she doesn't know whether to be angry or confused, Wolverine is pissed yet drunk and needs to sneeze REAL bad, Ryu is chucking Hadokens since that's what he does...every round...the entire round..., Cyclops is severely constipated and is trying to drop diamonds, Zangief wants to make out with the Juggernaut bitch, Chun-Li thinks she's a forum moderator and is demanding to know what's going on in this thread, Magneto is powering-up his hand so he can trim his eyebrows. That about cover it?

I think this ended up being my favorite Wolverine theme throughout all the VS titles. It fits his character the most I feel.

I loved the soundfont from this one, but none of the themes ever really clicked for me, except maybe Rogue's, and that was only because I played her so damn much. Now Marvel vs. Capcom 1 and 3... THOSE themes are amazing.
