A series of games based on the stage 1 boss of Ghosts n' Goblins for the NES... I'm speechless... Who'd a thunk it?!

@TamedShadow Yes, I am aware of that, but I am not going to use an improper vocabulary to describe my platforming skills to make them seem more probable or sound more modest, I am a fucking BAWS at platforming games, everything from Mega Man, Mega Man x, Donkey Kong Country, Actraiser, Super Mario Galaxy, everything, and I've SLAIN it time and time again. When people watch me play some of my golden classics they go like "-whoa, are you cheating or something?".

@8bitsMagicSock Not to be rude, but assuming from your reply you must SUCK at thinking! I fucking BLAZED through this game! Don't worry about my platforming skills, I'll have you know that I am godly at these kind of games. Can't you read my comments? I said that overall, I found it a good game with great atmosphere, but playing it was slow, and the inventory system does not help either, I found it to be the games greatest weakness, but I am not saying it's bad! DKC is awesome.
it took some skills, but, that is what also made this game fun to play
@8bitnecromancer Okay I can agree on classy as in the sense of classical, but I did not found it that fun to play, as classy as in overall awesome game.
@8bitnecromancer I dunno, the atmosphere was really good, but it was real slow to play, and also really cumbersome switching between the crest's and forms.
Wow, this is a really haunting song for an SNES game. Seldom have I felt such despair in any videogame theme, yet alone 16-bit. I'll have to try this game out.

This sounds terribly silly, but when playing this level as a young child, I met my first encounter with mortality... I'm talking about that pendulous skeleton hanging out of one of the windows of that building located at the beginning of the level. Even today, I still get chills seeing that whilst hearing this sorrowful melody.

@fantasyunderfire218 really? man I can´t believe that, I mean, this game isn´t so fucking hard, I beat that dark demon first try, ok I used all potions ;-) Still I don´t unterstand what the people back then thought...Maybe DD doesn´t play in the league as Metroid, but in my opinion it´s the only game aside Metroid for the SNES that creates something like a special atmosphere during the entire game thanks to epic music, bossfights and plot. And this is only 16bit!!!

I hope this game is put into the Wii shop channel. I would buy it. This game has a awesome soundtrack and challenging gameplay. Sure it may be old cause its a Snes game but still it deserves to be given good reviews. All in All I give Demons Crest a 9/10 IMO.
Despite everything about it being good; it was just WAY to hard back then and still is. This is why it generated negative sales. And Nostalgia junkies really can't fault people for doing so because..admit it...when a game is exceedingly difficult than it really should be, you're gonna get pissed. And face it, you have other things you need to do with your lifeo ther than bust your ass trying to beat an impossible game in one sitting....right?

Here's an OST and game that never got the attention it deserved.
Probably the quirky controls and system at the start. At the time people were expecting Mario and Arthur. Same thing happened to God Hand. Which should also be on this list.

I remember seeing this game in one of Nintendo Power's Top 100 Games lists a while back... it stood out as, if I remember correctly, the only game in Nintendo history to generate negative sales numbers in a week - due to more people returning the game that week than actually buying it. Which is nutso. A cool game, though, regardless.
Never played the game myself but this is a well composed song. After listening to the GST, This probably my favorite. Thanks for the upload~

I played this game and loved it. My favorite crest was the armor crest you get on the ice stage (not to be confused with the one on the first level). My favorite song on the game was the first level music.
I don't think I've played this one, but great song. I've played Super Ghouls and Ghost all the way to the end (twice, and killed the final boss) as a kid though. That's where I got some real platforming experience, without really knowing it at the time. I just practiced and got through it no problem back then!
