It's an awesome piece for sure, but I think its way too... serene to be the theme of a character like Firebrand. I'd suggest either Challenge of Devils, Cursed Towers, or maybe a rock version of Legend of Firebrand.

@RokuroCarisu it depends on your interpretation. I see firebrand as a somber figure, one who's more wanton days of violence are behind him. He recognizes the mistakes he made in the past, and moves now with PURPOSE.

Correction, Capcom USED to make some pretty neat tunes. Nowadays they serve to make "games" from their franchises that have nothing to do with what they were and what got them famous and completely oust megaman just to spite the creator.

There is simply no way a video's game music can be better than what this game has to offer. And this piece of heaven amongst hell stands out on top. The word "masterpiece" doesn't even begin to cover the greatness of this song.

from every G&G btw i'd love a remake because in Gargoyle's Quest 2 ending, the king talks about a far away land, the human realm, and he talks about conquering those lands, now we can asume its there when G&G starts maybe, but we still have this Demon's Crest, Firebrand with the Crest powers (anyway he set them free) but maybe we need the definitive war between the human realm (leaded by Arthur of course) and the Demon Realm
It was not until 2 nights ago i found this game, which is quite sad considering i had the first Gargoyles Quest for gameboy as a child. Thank god for emulators

That is incredibly interesting! Do you have any sources for that information? The late 80's and early 90's were definitely the times where a lot of Christian groups focus on music and video games for "twisting the minds of the youth".

@dmdollinar08 I think the game went under the radar because nobody knew what it was. I didn't know it was a sequel to Gargoyle's Quest. I just thought it was some random action game.
I never owned this game, but my friend had it. I always remember this theme being one of my favorite VG tunes of all time.

they dont make games like this anymore :(. I have played PS3,Wii and 360 (first two I own) but still SNES in its own right had one hell of a library of great games and Demons Crest is one of them. This song brings nostalgia everytime I hear it. I hope this game gets added to the Wii shop channel soon. A very underrated game that deserves better. Demons Crest gets a score of 9/10 from me :).

When I first played this game I thought: "Yes! This is it! Why can't all games be THIS good!?" It was like Castlevania and Mega Man X had some divine child!
Oh. Dear God, so good. And this game's actually pretty hard to beat completely, I took my brothers and I six years or so from the time we got it to getting the heaven's crest (we thought you just couldn't get it at all). Brilliant choice.
I heard this first then went and played through the game.
