I really don't like how this game has seemingly been forgotten. No VC releases, not on the SNES Classic, no talks about a remaster. Just... forgotten. This game was special.

This music takes me back you have no idea mate, I can hear the vent sound lol. This game was such a great experience, the atmosphere, music and dialogue really makes you feel like you are alone and lost in this world, yours to discover really

It got a bad break being both American-made and using Secret of Mana's engine but not being quite as good a game as Secret of Mana. Personally I loved Evermore, but the audience and critical reception were pretty bad.

I did not know the history behind its release. Played Secret of Mana and did not like it. Did not know why dudes and dudettes like Secret of Mana so much. It's okay, but not good like Evermore. Brother bought me SNES and I lost my saved game. Forgot to hold reset before turning it off. Lol.

@TrueHolyRune different strokes. I liked both games, just liked Mana more. I do feel like if Evermore hadn't used SoM's engine, it would have been received a lot better because it's a genuinely good game. But tethering it to Mana like that was not a good idea.

When I first saw Evermore, I thought it was a sequel to Crystalis on NES. Another good game.

I haven't played this game in a few years now, but everything about it is simply unforgettable. This ended up becoming one of my all-time favorite games, and someday, I'm gonna pick up my old SNES controller and enter this mysterious, enthralling universe once more! Just me and my dog!

This game has such an evocative soundtrack. And if I remember correctly Jeremy Soule composed it when he was 19. It really improves the game so much.

Jeremy Soule did wonders on this soundtrack. Though this track is sour for me since I could never find the proper exit with the hidden walls.

Honestly, couldn't get into this game. Maybe because it plays like the Mana games and I just hated that combat.

I'm playing through this right now for the first time, and it really is a good game. I don't like to think of it as a clone of Secret of Mana, rather, an expansion. Like how Majora's Mask was constructed with the Ocarina of Time engine. I, for one, think it's a good thing, as it allows the devs to focus less on building the assets and more on the world and details, which are very immense and prosperous in this game. If you enjoyed Secret of Mana, or even Seiken Densestu 3, check this one out. It really is worth it.

I love SoE, probably a little more than SoM honestly. Jeremy Soule's music is so unique
