I completed episode 2 like 3 weeks ago and now iam playing episode 3. I can understand the complains about episode 2 but god, the music is awesome and iam really enjoying episode 3.

Jin vs Margulis. This battle scene was so awesome to me as a child, If there was anything that stood out to me in this series besides mechs and kos-mos it was this song and that scene. I hope one day I can wake up and hear Sakurai-san talk about xenosaga. Namco has no reps besides pac-man. Kos-mos would be perfect.

I just finished playing through Xenosaga 2 not long ago and I thought Jin was awesome. Even used him in my party. In any case if you're using a sword in a futuristic space setting you gotta be an awesome guy right? Though I suppose the same could be said for Margulis but despite being a bad guy he's pretty cool I guess.

I've been trying for years to figure that out. I'm almost convinced it doesn't have a meaning. If you figure out Jr.'s theme, I'd like to know too. XDD
It's Kajiura's own "language" of sorts called Kajiurago/Kajiuran/Kajiuraese for her compositions. It's made of Italian, Latin, some Japanese and English. It has no real meaning.
3:00 to 3:06 is the best 6 seconds of gaming I can imagine it playing in the background when Neo fights Morpheus. Or when Jason Bourne does Jason Bourne things. Or that time when I fought Bruce Lee in my dream and he intentionally let the fight drag on till I fell over. On a New York skyscraper with Spider-Man chilling with Jesus.

What are you talking about? Havent played neither, but Xenogears was a conclusive story as far as I m told and you have a trilogy for xenosaga! What I m sad is that these games cant come out on steam or something for me to play, cuz I m not feeling that emulator thing...

I actually came to like Margulis towards the end. He was a man of honor with firm belief in his cause, although in the end betrayed. The last ES battle against him was great with this playing in the background.

After playing Xenoblade I thought the soundtrack couldn't be surpassed, but damn I just had to look back and listen to these awesome tracks.
I'd have to go with 3 on the best soundtrack... as it incorporates music from XS2 as well as it's own.... but when this track played in the final showdown with Margulis you knew it was gonna be epic.
WTF That is just too weird! I listen to music while I sleep, so today I put on my VGM list and during my daily nap I happened to wake up while this song was playing and as soon as I opened my eyes, all I could here was some chick screaming "Balsamic! Garlic Yummy Yum! Balsamic Garlic Yummy Yee!" I know it's a bit different...but still it's rather funny =P On a side note, this is probably the best song ever to wake up to. Really gets you going.

Jin in green reminds me of CITAN UZUKI from XenoGears. then again the creator of this game left Square after finishing XenoGears to form Monolith Soft and make the XenoSaga trilogy which was originally going to be a 5 game series. Monolith Soft is now mostly owned by Nintendo, and they released XenoBlade for the Wii. I've heard that game is fantastic.

this makes me think of the final fight between Superboy Prime versus Superman (Kal-El) and Suerman (Kal-L) in the last issue of Infinite Crisis, right to the end on Mogo. RIP Kal-L :'( u will always be the first and best Superman!
Damn, if only this game was re-release in a HD collection or something, even though I already have the original for the PS2, I really love this game. :P

@Mpcppunk I agree. This is the highest standard of J-RPG.
this series is one of the greatest games to ever exist. the whole series was aamzing, the story of two was aamzing. it didnt progress all that much honestly but it gave an enormous amount of backstory. the only serious flaw i found with two is the battle system. i found myself looking forward to boss fights because boss fights were easier than random encounters honestly. the damage ratio your characters were capable of was miserable and against a healing enemy? *shudders*
hmmm... i remember playing xenosaga 2 a few years ago before my ps2 stoped working (got a ps3 afterwards) and i have to say, xenosaga has a grat storyline, but the battle layout seemed to take a step backwards... but i have to say the musics awesome to :D

once this song hits :55 the song just goes up 10 points on the epic scale, the vocal melody fit the relationship between Jin and Margulis so well.
I think it was EPIC of them to include this in the third game during (SPOILER ALERT) the finaly battle with Margulis in the E.S.s
This is my favorite Xenosaga track in the whole series.

I tried watching the anime too. I caught it on a beach episode. And really couldn't stand it.
Maybe it was only part 2 that I heard wasn't so good.
Part 3 is awesome.
At first I really thought this track would be bad. But it's awesome(I almost used badass). I didn't really get into XS either, after the first game, and I hear they got worst after that.
I didn't finished X1 because of the awkward controls and kinda low quality gameplay(opinion just for me). It's not that I don't like the story, I just can't handle the sudden change in gameplay from xenogears to xenosaga so I ended up watching the anime just to keep up with the story.
Wow. High Quality really is so much better. Nice music too.
I lost interest after Xenosaga Episode I. I won't knock the music though. Probably what I like about it most.

True! The second had many flaws but the story alone made it enjoyable. I also think X2 has the best soundtrack of the trilogy. :P
Most of the soundtrack was great, but I hated the town music for Second Miltia. Sound like nails on a chalkboard.
@Cam Rutherford i can´t say anything about the cutscenes music, it was awesome but the gameplay music had it ups and downs.
