I don't know a lot of major releases that got such a late release during the year. Shenmue came out in Japan on December 29th 1999. I don't think I need to repeat myself on how great I think this series is, but when just listening to this ambient walking theme takes me all the way back and rushes me with nostalgia, you know it was something special. Still to this day, I don't think a video game immersed me as much as this series. The Dreamcast may have not lived long, but its library of quality games was enough for me to never regret buying one.
Excited to see what the long awaited #2000 is!

We've walked a long way, haven't we.
And so here we are, the last video before #2000. I will keep most of my comments for then, but I can already announce that there won't be a special like for the #1000 video. Not only because I don't think 2000 is even close to being as significant as reaching 1000, but because I also feel like that video was special and I want to keep it that way. I've decided for a quite a while now which theme I would pick for #2000 and I can confirm that it won't follow the current trend of the game being released on the same year as the number in the list. I will continue doing so with 2001 and onwards.
So, #2001 will be a game from 2001? Which in turn means your neat list of "one game per year" isn't going to feature any game from 2001? I don't remember it being that bad of a year. ^^
