Prefer Diablo (1), but I haven't played that or D2 for years... So many new experiences (inc new games), to want to keep playing the old ones. It's nice to remember them, for sure. But better to keep moving forwards, than looking back :)

My misplaced faith in Internet humanity lead me to believe I could start some sort of comment chain on this theme (like someone else who wrote down Ogden's main line). the first time i played this game, i didnt know english, and when i talk to the drunk guy in the map, i tought that he was like sad or suffering for something, just for his voice, then when i learn english, i talk to him again and i realize that he was drunk and nobody believes what he said. I laugh a lot about that cuz for me the story was different xD...

Stopped after playing Kyrandia Malcom's Revenge ^^. This and Baldur's Gate 2 was my conversion back to PC games.. also add Fallout 1. .... aaah memories.

This music brings a lot of memories back playin the game.. played D1 and D2 for years! Hoping D3 will be able to live up to it's predecessors.
I really liked the music appropriation for diablo 2, in every act and area, the music was full of feeling. That was one of the reasons that the game was so memorable for me.. i have i feeling though that diablo 3 will be Warcraftenised and the music will be 'epic', instead of full of emotion and character. Hey, post yourself playing the theme with the loops. I wanna see your skills

Awsomeness. I loved this song from Diablo, and I know it's in D2, but all the monster killing in there makes it a bit hard to make out the music. :( Heheh, D3 and StarCraft2... Blizzard is just awsome! ^^ But WHY did they ever scrap the StarCraft Ghost project?! >:(

Well to tell you the truth, I believe that the brothers that made the Diablo series left blizzard and they took all rights of the game with them, this is the reason why the expansion (or game) at Destruction's End never came out.

ah, I hate that kind of attitude. Siskel and Ebert never produced any #1 movies, but people respect their opinion on movies. According to that attitude if I don't have any ground to say the ideas are bad then you don't have any leg to stand on to say any of Blizzards ideas are good.
Well, when you produce a game that makes millions of dollars in the first week of release then maybe you will have ground to stand on. I for one was disappointed in WoW and the time they took to come out with SC 2 ALONG with the scrapping of GHOST.
and? doesn't change the fact that is uses stupid, hackneyed ideas. But I'm sure there are plenty of fanboys to buy whatever blizzard wants to sell.

The Pandamonium event disproves everything you describe. The Prime Evils- Belial and Azmodan have hell Polarized...all they have to do is set their sights on the mortal realm and the SIN WAR will begin anew. Diablo and Baal and Mephisto CAN return but only in the time of a millennium. So the world may be left to fend for itself against the legions of hell whilst the power of Heaven is sealed by the destruction of the Worldstone.
there's also the question of the story. StarCraft had a story to continue. Warcraft kind of had a story to continue. But what would they do about Diablo? He's dead and gone, all the soul stones smashed and everything. They'd have to make it some sort of alternate reality thing, which would be stupid. or some diablo reborn thing which would turn it into a never ending series, which would be stupid or they'd have to invent some new prime evils, then it wouldn't be Diablo anyone
finally!!! better late than never at least, but dude, this is one of the truly great pieces of music in any game ever, its so original, nothing else sounds like it...such a dark, foreboding, piece full of despair and tension.

Man Diablo I was the first PC I ever played on my own PC back in the day. The music quality and atmosphere of Tristram just really got me. Really hope they keep the Diablo I and II style of music for III whenever that arrives. The sound design in the series as a whole was nuts.
This is such a great piece of music. It goes through so many interesting twists and turns and sounds creepy haunting but also beautiful.

Make some very unique classes. I think there is a big difference, ability wise, between WoW and Diablo. Well, Blizzard has called in for developers for a secret project, the exact same way they did before StarCraft 2, so you are allowed to pray, right?

I came from the future to tell you that Diablo 3, while a fun game, is hardly Diablo.
