I just beat this fight for the first time yesterday. I finally get why people like Undertale so much, though I do still think people talk about it to annoying extents.

On another note, I do have to say that this whole section with Papyrus at the start of the game was by far my favorite (the ending being obviously great as well). The battle against him was a big highlight, getting hit by his Blue attack with this theme kicking in.

Community is comprised of mainstream cunts who probably haven't even played it. Like no joke I have seen people talk about the game and when asked about their favorite moments when playing they'll explain that they watched the game through a Let's Play or some shit.
Can I recommend an old, but incredibly fun game for you to check out? Intrusion 2. And I'll be genuinely surprised if one of the OST tracks doesn't make it here.

Well, he made an album's worth of songs, and then released them one at a time. He should be back to his periodic arrangements of other games now that it's done. :)
When i first played Undertale, this was one of the very first songs that instantly stuck with me. By the time I faced him for the third time, I felt that I had become his first friend and this song definitely helped make it stick with me.
Undertale could dominate this list. So many gold tracks.

I didn't feel much hype for the game, even with that huge community and all the positive reviews. By now, I find it to be a good game, but very far away of being the best game ever. I guess it is because I don't find that the RPG-like mechanics did improve the genre by themselves. Actually I find the game to be a very poor RPG if you've ever considered that, while it's still a pretty solid "2D adventure/puzzle" game... ? Whatever, I don't really know how to name this genre. OST is very nice and unique, though, specially nowadays.
I guess the best way to sum it up is, in Genocide it's an RPG with real simple mechanics, while on pacifist it's a real easy Bullet hell-ish type of game.
Not many RPGs have you dodge the enemies in such a unique way, so that's part of why it left such a strong impression on the playerbase. It's only one of the many factors, though.

I think the entire point of the game is that it's not meant to be an RPG in any way whatsoever nor trying to be, it's clever like that.
You have to respect a game when you find yourself questioning what the best part of it was. Some say the gameplay, some say the meaning behind it all, and in this case, the music really was memorable to give each main character their own unique theme that you can immediately tie them with.
