I forgot this game existed. My brother and I rented it maybe once, and never bothered to again. I don't remember how it even played, but I do recall we didn't like it.

Finally some Vortex love! Thanks But really, the big reason the game wasn't as popular as it should have been is it's difficulty. You had to learn the stages by heart. Only when by mastering them could you beat them.
Argonaut Games collaborated with Nintendo on developping the Super FX chip for the SNES and eventually Star Fox. Afterwards, they made this game without Nintendo's help and it showed, I liked it much less. My neighbor who lent me this game really liked it though. The awesome soundtrack is its saving grace. It's made by Justin Scharvona who was the developer's main composer (they created the Croc series on the PS1).
