Back in the day I was captivated with this music. I remember to go to options the first time and listening to this theme during a long time, I even drop a tear because I found it beautiful. Even today I consider this theme one of the best of all time. I still drop a tear listening to this today, but now it's not only that continues to be a beautiful song but also because he reminds me when I was 13years old. Thanks SupraDarky you made me happy today.

This is REALLY relaxing. I've only played through StarFox 64 once, (the 3DS remake) and I absolutely loved it. It has a certain charm to it that I've never really felt from any other game before. It's held up pretty well imo.

@amh7912 From what I remember, I didn't take any secret paths. I stayed on the standard route, if one even exists.
The blue flat on the bottom is like the easy one, there are yellow courses, but you have to end red or blue. red faces more than a robot.

What's this image from, SF64 3D? But I agree, this track is great. Always felt really somber and made me kind of sad when I had either gotten a game over or finished the game as a kid.

This spacey, relaxing theme you hear after pressing Start is simple but highly memorable. It felt like a perfect time to take a breath and focus before taking control of the arwing and blasting through waves of enemies in fast paced environments. Any thoughts on Star Fox Zero? It's not a critical success and I heard the controls can be a hurdle, but I did hear some good feedback from various players.

+SupraDarky I like it. Its length is more or less Star Fox 64, if not a bit longer. Levels have multiple exits that don't become available until later in the game, and revisiting them to get the new exits yields new levels or alternate missions for existing ones. The controls are learnable for me; I think they're just fine other than some minor problems I can compensate for (I don't like that down on the left stick and up on the right stick simultaneously does a loop). Motion control aiming can be turned off, but I personally chose to learn it and stick with it. There's an "arcade mode" that plays more like the older games, where you start from the beginning and play through rather than doing a level select. There are some rather creative level designs, where what you're doing changes multiple times. Protect this ship from laser attacks, sneak through the force field when the enemy's firing a laser (and opening a hole in the force field), enter the enemy ship and manually change to robot walker form to destroy it from the inside, fight Star Wolf once you're outside. Whether or not Peppy gets shot down determines your next mission. That's all one level.
+SupraDarky Its a weird game. I raged a lot when I started playing due to how unintuitive the controls felt at first. However... After the first few missions I actually got the hang of it and I am really liking it so far. I can't wait to start searching for the hidden exits of the stages. i heard there are three in Corneria alone!
I really enjoy Star Fox Zero a lot, surprisingly I didn't have any problems with the controls after the first 2 levels aside from doing barrel rolls.I really liked the controls, I guess it's a love or hate type of thing since I see the majority of people hate this game. To me it's an great game that's held back by relying to much off the nostalgia of 64 and the lack of options.
+SupraDarky I bought it last week, I've played it a few times. So far it's alright. I loved Star Fox 64. This game really does feel like a remake, the plot and levels (so far) are similar enough in feel. I enjoy the regular Arwing and the chicken walker mode a lot. Tank feels awkward like it used to, and Gyrowing feels even more awkward so far. The controls... are not ideal, in my opinion. Maybe after many hours of play I'll be used to them, but they feel forced and counterproductive. Note that I've never had problems with motion controls in a game before. Every WiiU game I've played has made good use of the gamepad. Skyward Sword, which a lot of people complained about, never gave me problems. Star Fox is a struggle so far. I'll be sure to give you an update when I've played it some more ;)
SF Zero was cool until the last boss which I found to be just annoying with the controls. Other areas had their problems, too, but they were not present enough to take the fun out of them. But the controls are a real hassle. Your ship is flying kinda slippy (no pun intended), the game sometimes makes choices for you, the camera is a mess because you need both the Gamepad and the TV screen (in the worst case simultaneously) and at no point did I feel 100% in control of what was happening. Maybe 80%. I am not disappointed by Nintendo, they regularly make bad games, who I am really mad at is Platinum. They are normally a safe developer to go to and seeing them put out something with wobbly controls, nonoptimized visuals and just something that is utterly mediocre is the really depressing part. So yeah, in conclusion, the game is OK. I'd give it a 3/5 or a 5/10 or a 55/100 or a 558326598236/1000000000000. The problems are manifold, but fun is still found. By the way: Nice track today! I enjoyed Star Fox 64 a bit more than Zero and think it's the better of the two. Especially with an OST that contains this beauty of a musical achievement.
+SupraDarky I disliked SF: Zero because it felt like the developers didn't know whether they wanted to do an on-rails shooter like Starfox/Starfox 64 or an adventure game like the others. So we ended up with a game that tried to combine fast on-rails action with slower segments, meaning the pacing is screwed and replayability is severely impacted. Secondly, the controls are atrocious, I see no reason why we couldn't have had the left stick control the vehicle and right stick control the reticle. As is, the current controls feels forced as FUCK, like the devs put novelty before the player. Finally, the amount of content in the game is far too small for a AAA game, even one that is "supposed" to be replayed several times, and getting 100% is far too easy and is barely, if at all, indicative of the skill of the player. In short: They tried to innovate in a series THAT DIDN'T NEED IT.
