This theme coupled with the cries of desperation from the enemy commander really works to bring that crazy excitement of plowing through the enemy lines!

Definitely the best theme in the game. Totally fits the level and the feeling of "we're almost to the end"... and while this song is playing, you continually see Venom getting closer in the distance. So great!

Area 6 on expert mode is the ONLY level I can't get a medal on for some reason. Always come a little short :( Never had that problem getting the medal on regular difficulty.
I've gotten the medal, but I could never beat it without getting hit, and losing my laser upgrades. then it's virtually impossible to get the medal for the star wolf rematch. they didn't mess around with expert mode.
@White King Advix I would love your problem just once. Keeping my upgrades and staying with high life was never an issue but apparently I just haven't figured out the best times to use bombs and kill groups with charge shots to maximize kill bonuses. One day hopefully, it's been years since I tried so have to shake off the rust as well.
Area 6 is probably my favorite Star Fox level ever. I almost wish future Star Fox games have levels that follow Area 6's example in its intensity and fun. Having to fight an entire fleet with multiple ships and advanced battleships was the best! The only other levels that can compare are some SNES Star Fox levels and the very first level in Star Fox Assault

Funny how this is my first Star Fox 64 upload, yet it's my favorite game in the series and easily the one I played most. Very fun game, I loved the tank so much I actually carved one out of wood during an art school project back then (I somehow lost it...). Miyamoto casually announced that Star Fox Wii U will be coming out next year before the next Zelda, so I'm greatly looking forward to that. Hopefully we get screenshots and videos soon.
