Why do I hear the menu theme for the very first Unreal Tournament in this track? This quite the piece, I must say.

I don't think I've ever felt guilty or overreaching in saying that this is the greatest video game ever made.
great soundtrack. lots of similarities to unreal 1 (not surprising with the 3 shared composers). deus ex was a really great experience.
Alexander Brandon and Michiel van den Bos are among my favourite game composers thanks mainly to this soundtrack.
Good style music. A friend have this to me on the PS2 - which is still hooked up! Maybe should try it again - Revolution or this first? I'm feeling the latter.

About time Deus Ex got another soundtrack in your Best VGM series. I think that you're underestimating the western games, as most of your soundtrack contains tracks from japanese games. If I' concerned, Deus Ex deserves to have the whole OST in your Best VGM collection, just like Chrono Trigger almost does. That's wishful thinking though, but I hope we'll at least see these pieces in the near future: Versalife, Ending 1, Cathedral conversation.

Oh YES!!! It's all coming back now! After Battery Park, New York was next, and it was such an awesome level. Also, introduced something to really shake up the story in the game lol!!! If anyone has not played Deus Ex, PLEASE, BUY IT and enjoy it! It is a very wonderful experience, an it also happens to be my top game of all time. If the music did not convince you (which I love!), just play through the first level and see how much this game grabs you.

@bill johnson Well technically China is fascist today when Deus Ex said China today would have a more free flow economy. So it isn't really 100% right atall but it had some good ideas for an alternative timeline I guess.

Can't wait for Mankind, but this game was the shit
Probably the track that gives me the most nostalgia for this game, mainly because it plays when the game really starts picking up after the average intro level on Liberty Island. Funny how they announced Deus Ex: Mankind Divided the day after I said I would start playing Human Revolution, which I'll be doing tonight. Looking forward to it!

@SupraDarky I got this game a while back, but I got disoriented in the first level and decided to put it down. Might give it another try soon considering the announcement.
@LinkMarioSamus The first level can indeed be a bit overwhelming for newcomers, but once you get a hold of the mechanics and you get to UNATCO, Battery Park, Hell's Kitchen, etc, it really picks up and just becomes enthralling.
@Can Of Noodles It was the same way for me when I first played it in 2004. Beat the game 3 times since then -- I don't usually replay games but I made an exception since there were so many hidden secrets.
