The only thing I more than this theme and this game is that Ubisoft also had this team develop Assassin's Creed:Rogue, arguably one of the absolute best in the series, and that they reference Child of Light in that game. :)

This game felt a bit basic in a lot of ways, but it was stunning to look at and listen to. This battle track never got old either :).

I just wished this game wasn't so ridiculously easy.
Owari Dragon you know, l don't like when games are too easy neither, as a matter of fact l am a dark souls veteran, however, l think the difficulty of this game is actually pretty good for such a charming and story driven game. The gameplay it's definitely there and l understand it is the most important favtor in gaming, but l think that dying too often would brake some of the beautiful things of this game

I wasnt very attracted to the game it self but the graphics and music are so beautiful. My wife played it during Christmas and I heard this song countless of times and ever since she beat the game I have missed it badly =) Fantastic!

Skysquall Asent My god its soundtrack is beautiful. Transistor is a rather short... RPG, I can say. It's on pc and its definitely a game that i can recommend if you liked child of light or bastion.

Transistor was the bomb. I loved CoL too, but Transistor is the ONLY game I have ever played where the silent protagonist actually worked, not to mention syncing well with the music. That game was pure genius.
I only have one real complaint about the game: It's short.

This theme is very reminiscent of some of Yoko Shimomura´s works, namely the strong rithmyc line acompanied by strong brass and strings. Go to the latest FFXV trailer song for an example.
That's a thing above and beyond Yoko Shimomura. However, the way the soundtrack is written reminds me of Shimomura much more, due to the combinations of timbres. Taiko Drum + Snare Drum + Strings, particularly violas + Piano is a very evocative combination.
I know Shimomura's work mainly from the Xenoblade series so take my thoughts with a pinch of salt: I think the instrumentation in this song is very similar to Shimomura but the way it's composed feels very different.
Have yet to pick up Child of Light but as an Amano fan this just blows my mind. Honored to have shaken this man's hand (and an autograph to boot).

Honestly, I think I'd much rather prefer "Jupiter's Lightning" over this one. It feels a lot more alive and active than this one.
OHHHHH my sweet jeez!... Now I finally know why this is kind of so familiar to my ears... Close your eyes and imagine you have a big ass key in your hand and a silly goof and a not understandable duck right next to you. You're welcome. I don't say it sounds completely like Kingdom Hearts but it has quite the same Arrangement.

If you're thinking about picking this up for Playstation, I recommend getting the Deluxe Edition. It doesn't come with an actual disc either, but has some DLC that adds another character to your party (definitely a boon if you're playing in Hard) and comes with a cute little light-up Igniculus keychain and a gorgeous poster and a nice little art book.
I love how a song this epic plays when battling simple enemies.

This game definitely blew me away. Kudos to Ubisoft for hiring this team into making a really good game. The art, music and atmosphere is definitely the high points of the game and the unique characters you encounter on your journey. The battle system is similar to the Grandia series with is a plus and overall, from the few hours I played the game, it really has made an impression on me. I definitely recommend you pick it up Supra!

This is a very energizing battle theme. I wouldn't mind hearing this song over and over throughout the game. I'm not sure if I will get anytime soon, but it sure looks like a pretty looking game.

I love how Ubisoft asked Amano to paint this artwork for their game. I associate Amano with Square games so much (mainly Final Fantasy) that it feels weird to see his work on other games. Any impressions by the way? Looks very good. I'll surely buy it on Steam at some point.

I really like the game. The game has a co-op mode,where one player controls the surprising usefull wisp side kick. It's great if you want to play them game together with your child,little brother/sister or gf. Combat is similar to grandia,except that you can use the wisp to slow down enemies. It's not very difficult,hard mode is probably the way to go,even then it's very easy to get overleveled,but it's easy enough to avoid most battles. Level design is great,both in terms of visuals and gameplay,each level has tons of teasures and little secrets. Story is probably the weakest part of the game. I kind of see why they plot can't be too complex,because it's a game for all ages,but even with that in mind it's still a bit weak.
Definitely one of my favorite games in recent times. I don't think it holds up in all places (the level up system is kinda lackluster, for example), but I recommend it just for the experience. The game is incredibly beautiful in all aspects, music included. The Firefly that joins you is actually both useful and makes the game a lot more interesting in the battles since he provides some real-time strategies between the turn-based battling.
Playing it at the moment. Art and soundtrack are absolutely brilliant, and the combat is surprisingly innovative for a turn-based system, giving you the ability to interrupt foes' attacks at particular times. Makes gameplay a bit more tactical. Also best played with a friend, as the co-op is completely seamless!
I just got it today, it's a pretty comfortable rpg with 2d platforming and puzzle solving. A tad slow, though.
When I saw this picture my first thought was: "Oh? Is this something new about Final Fantasy?" That's just how distinctive Amano's art is.

The game is amazing, albeit not too deep in the RPG department. The story, music, and atmosphere of the game is top notch though. Also it is gorgeous :) I played through it in 2 days, it just pulls you in and never lets go.
Friend bought it. Worth the buy. Igniculus is actually a lot of fun to play for anyone who's more of a 'rts' player. All about minmaxing, managing your team ("Hey, focus down this spider. He's squishy and is super fast. I'll slow the heavyhitter so you can interrupt him."), etc. Fun game.
Am playing it on PS4, and it's an awesome game. I can highly recommend it. The devs were clearly using Final Fantasy all the way through as their guiding influence, and even Béatrice Martin's musical score is extremely reminiscent of Nobuo Uematsu's earlier FF work.
Really, it is widely worth the purchase : very fun gameplay, actually very challenging when played in Expert, interesting storyline, nice universe, awesome art, likeable characters with a wide array of abilities, every one of them is specialized in a domain and this makes battles very tactical and interesting.

This game had one of the best soundtracks I've heard in ages. Most soundtracks do have tracks that I love but then they have a shit-ton of medocricity in between. This game's music fit the game perfectly and most of the tracks are 'listen-on-your-MP3-player'-good.
I, personally, don't consider it Ubisoft. It was made by a special division IN Ubisoft, and if you asked me, they'd be better off splitting away from Ubisoft.
@Tony Lunar yep, the guys down from Canada made this game. It's really fun, and brings alot to the table, I just wish had a variety here and there and optional things to do, it's pretty straight forward, and it's a masterpiece of art/game. actually, i'm just finishing the + mode for the game right now.
@SupraDarky I just love Amano's art style.It's unique in an age where everything is either anime, dark gothic.
