So what was everyone's opinion of Oracle of Ages/ Seasons? Personally I think they were my favorite Zelda games made. I really hope they kinda some ideas from that series and make a new game. Hell, if Zelda & Capcom make an HD version of it I'd be bleeding joy.
Personally my only issue with A link between worlds is that they should have made a few dungeons like for example Skull Dungeon a bit longer. I think I legitimately finished it within 30 minutes. That being said, I liked A Link Between Worlds enough to actually play it through on Hero Mode. Now that my friend combined with the Rent system makes for some difficulties.
I bought this game knowing that it would be my first 2D Zelda game that i have played and i absolutely loved it. It is easily one of my favorite games and my favorite Zelda game of all time. The music is great too. When i heard the Ryo Nagamatsu was composing this game, i was slightly disappointed that Koji Kondo did not even contribute to this soundtrack. I was very impressed with the compositions for this game especially the remixes of songs from ALTTP. Nagamatsu has emerged to me as one of the more underrated composers for Nintendo.
Yep. Kondo is a legendary composer, but Nagamatsu is a GREAT composer. His works on the SMG series is amazing.
Oh man, I loved this game. Finally got to 100% the other day on a road trip. Amazing experience, and I'm resisting the immediate urge to start a new save file. Awesome music, awesome game play, awesome game.

I actually have a new opinion: Europa Universalis IV and Dota 2 are the best games of 2013 (ALBW is a close third). Also, Last of Us' gameplay is rather dull, which really killed it for me. I haven't played Fire Emblem, but friends have told me it was fantastic. GTA V was really fun, but honestly it isn't my type of game, and DuckTales Remastered was great, just not Game of the Year.

I bought this game when it came out and I could not stop playing it! It was fun, challenging, had great dungeons, memorable music, and was also the only Zelda game I 100% completed. Link Between Worlds has replaced Ocarina of Time as my new favorite Zelda game of all time.
Once again, I posted a review with most of my thoughts on this game in the #1472 upload. After having finished this game 100%, I played A Link to the Past, then this game again in Hero Mode, and you know what? I prefer this game. That says a lot because LTTP is in my top 20 games of all time. This game really serves to reinforce the fact that Zelda is my favorite video game franchise. I still think the renting system is partly broken and that normal mode is too easy, but the rest is top notch handheld entertainment. The combat is simple but totally works and the wall mechanic adds an awesome layer of complexity; and with the mind-blowingly slick 60 fps gameplay, you can't ask for more. I also love how the dungeons in this game each feel like they're different from another, thanks to unique music and settings. I always felt like Link's Awakening was the only 2D Zelda that really pulled that off. The remixes are pure bliss to the ears as well, listening to this theme for the first time gave me a huge smile. Truly a modern classic in my book.
@kuribo04 Well, it's actually not the 16 bit graphics. It's the art style, which is something difficult to transfer into 3D. Look at Super Mario RPG. It achieved the transition, even if it is in bitmaps.

@SupraDarky While the renting system might not be perfect, it does fix at least partly one of the biggest flaws of the franchise - the uselessness of rupees. For the first time in a Zelda game I was not disappointed by finding rupees in a treasure chest. Could have been even better, I agree, but at least it was a step in the right direction.
@BeleuchteteBrueder renting system ruined the whole game for me.
