Meh, the Ice Ruins is one of my least favorite dungeons due to just how annoying the layout is. I'm glad there's a glitch to skip pretty much all of it so you don't have to play it in game.

I got so frustrated by the Ice Palace in A Link to the Past that I was dreading its ALBW equivalent. Then I got there, and... it's so lovely. The fact that it all takes place above a distant pit of lava does something incredible to the atmosphere.
Haven't played this or a link to the past yet. Eventually I'll get there. I have heard Yuga's battle theme though and it's one of the best zelda songs ever to me.

This is the latest game to get into my Top 30 of all time, actually surpassing Link to the Past. Playing both games back to back (this on Hero Mode) is what made me realize it. I already explained my full thoughts on this game in the #1510 video, which was for my favorite game of 2013. The Ice Ruins might be my favorite dungeon in the game, quite challenging and memorable with a fitting ambient theme. I really wish the renting system was better and that it was more challenging as a whole though, that's for sure.
Yeah, this is now my favorite Zelda game. I loved it. I agree that the renting system could be different/better and it was overall too easy, but the dungeons, and the world, and it's just.., it's just so GOOD. :P
YES! The retning system was literally the only thing I disliked about this game. I just really did not like that you could get ALL items right away! It just doesn't feel.. Zelda like. I prefer finding then in dungeons since it just adds to the excitement when you're actually in the dungeon. You don't know what you're gonna be getting when you open that chest, and that feeling is just AWESOME! Sadly, the renting system completely removed that for me. :(
I'm currently playing LTTP for the first time in four years, thinking of giving this game a shot afterwards.
