i still remember my first time entering the forest as a kid, i was so amazed at the giant trees and vines and rivers and glowing mysticsm of it all. and this sound track was the perfect addition to such a beautiful area. thanks for uploading
really like how the piano line swells and arcs, underpinned by the persistent, rhythmic guitar plucking.
This OST is arguably Sakimoto's best work in my opinion (aside from maybe Vagrant Story when I'm in a dark ambient mood). He even outshines Mitsuda here.
Playing this on 1.25x playback speed makes it sound epic af

Such a good track! I loved this one and the atmosphere in the forest maze! I've been playing this game for 25 hours and I love it. Finding it so underrated so far! I like the story and characters, the music, love the atmosphere and scenery and I like the battle system and gameplay too.

Wow this is beautiful, the piano and the guitar combine so well. Makes you feel literally in a lost forest, I really miss this kind of old school games. Reminds me a bit of Chrono Trigger or maybe it's because I've been thinking lately that I would love a remake of that jewel.

Christ, I'd nearly totally forgotten about this game! Never did actually manage to complete it... A real shame - it's actually one of the best PS2 era RPGs I've ever played. Good times...

This game had Hitoshi Sakimoto and Yasunori Mitsuda on the same OST and has some of their best as you are hearing here. Such an underrated OST and game as a whole.
I agree 100%. Mitsuda is talented. I heard this before I played Chrono Trigger and Cross, which also have terrific OSTs.
But this one is Sakimoto. As much as I can't understand it since I dislike his work most of the time. He just makes a few amazing themes here and there for reasons I ignore.
I love them both. People often forget about Hitoshi Sakimoto though, I loved the Final Fantasy Tactics, Vagrant Story, and Radiant Silvergun soundtracks!
Waji you don't like Sakimoto? You would probably appreciate his work more if you didn't have awful early 90s hentai playing on your TV at the same time:(

I agree that it's a master piece, although it only took one listen for me. From 0:51 - 1:15 (about) is easily one of the greatest pieces of music I have ever heard. It's like my ears are in Ecstasy.

Argh! The comments here make me greatly regret not buying this game. I loved the original, but I was stupid and let the name of the game throw me off. I mean Legaia 2: Duel Saga sounds kind of like a fighting game, also the back of the game case did not make it seem much like an RGP. I feel so dumb and wish I could play this now. This song is brilliant and apparently the gameplay is not bad either. Maybe one day...

I Think the first LOL surpasses the second, they should have brought back the mist starting with cara and grantes really being followers of the mist, and when she barried their heart in buma, she really planted a sim seru that creates chaos, and takes over buma, then eventually karisto kingdom and then shit goes down hill fro mthere and the ra-seru come back thru a rogue crystal from the destruction of Rogues Tower...

Aaaahhhh... Legaia 2: Dual Saga... I typically can't go more than a few months without replaying it or the first Legend of Legaia. God I love these games...

I'm not the biggest fan of Legaia 2. The music is beautiful, but the actual game play is rather boring.
I've never played the game but this music is so eay on the imagination it's not funny. I feel like i know what the setting looks like for this track from having listened to it many-a-time

This was my second game for the PS2. Never beat the first one, but I played it a bit. This music is wonderful.
