I think I heard this for the first time on the Atari ST. But then I *had* to get it when it came out on Jaguar... it was a great game.

@kurije Its the speed! it sounds noticeably slow! and this is not how the original Amiga version sounded! I know, I played it more than enough to have this tune burned into my memory.

This is such an awesome opening. I've never heard a video game opening quite like this.
This version sounds a little weird, can't place my finger on what exactly's odd. Something about channels? Is it the original Amiga version?
The Stereo splitting on the Paula chip (in Amigas) was LRRL - as in you could play four sounds a time and the channels were hard-set as to their stereo position. Music from Amiga days sounds a little odd in stereo. I am used to the normally cruel sensation of a bass drum in only one ear.
Is this version slow, or are the other versions fast? To be honest, this speed sounds more correct in my memory.

Such a nice tune, and the lyrics are easy, but powerful.
Ironic thing is that war was never as little fun as when the game was finally over in cannon fodder. Out of many games i have played, this one actually made me feel bad about what i had done when I looked at the list of all the dead scrolling by. Definitely one of the rare pieces that gives a bit more healthy message about war in the end.

I've just been looking through your play list of this. Some of the songs I though meh on until I found this. I then cried with happiness.
Is this from Amiga CD32 or something? This is not the original music from the normal amiga version. Original amiga version samples arent this clean. Anyways.. One of my alltime favorite game themes! Thank you.
I remember playing this for the amiga. I also remember like the first two missions being easy then everything after that ridiculously hard. I loved this game though.
it used to make me sad to see the hills absolutely covered in gravestones, fricken awesome game though. retro games are always going to be great.
