A collection of my favorite videogame music. Note that most of them are from games I played so I might miss some great ones from games I never played.

the music in the first dungeon of this game scared the living hell out of me as a child. but this track was always my favorite its so mystic.
The graphics to this game even back in the day were bad but the music was just so good!
This game looks a lot like Fatal Labyrinth on Sega Genesis.

Sure as hell doesn't play like it, though. Regarding the American release at least, think Ys I without the autoattacking. Sounds like Zelda, except this sword is like 2 pixels.

Fun music, awful game. Then again, in all fairness, I don't think this game pulled any real dick moves on the player -- aside from the almighty 2-inch war-shiv, of course. Lagoon didn't have, for instance, 7th Saga's dozen-and-a-half ways to make a 30-hour savegame unwinnable, or Ghouls and Ghosts's "please play again, this time with the worst weapon" mode. Lagoon just had a lot of really unforgiving, tedious combat and more than its share of nearly-requisite grinding.
For me, it all came down the realization that the sword was longer if you attacked sideways rather then vertically. They really helped on bosses, as you actually had a small bit of reach then. Never did actually beat the game, though. That last fight with Thor was freaking rough...
Such good times. I enjoyed the SFC version but I really prefer the X86000 version - the graphics were a lot better. But for some reason I am always returning to the music of this version...
@Monstylicious Philip's Castle was my grinding zone for at least six levels because I enjoyed the music that much, only liked that zone and MAYBE the Ice cavern.

Wow, hearing this and some of the classic Enix/Quintet soundtracks again really makes me miss the super funky music these games had back then. :D Different times I guess.. *sigh*
The theme from Hobbit Valley is WIN! Also, you should try and get Phantom Hill. That one was also really good. I just wish that there was a soundtrack that had the ACTUAL music, not that piss poor remastered crap. I mean the music that actually played in the game, not a remixed version with all new sounds and blah blah...
Dude, you gotta get Atland or at least one more from this game.

I don't know who could dislike this game ! ever since my older brother rented it when i was like 14 i loved it ! i dreaded *and still do* fighting that ice cavern boss ! took my bro and i HOURS to beat ! my fave tracks along with this one is atland,the boss theme,intro theme,the danger theme,elf field,the cloud jumping level and lagoon castle...i love this game and still have it for the snes...i think i'll play it again when i get home from xmas !
I rented this game years ago when I was 14 or so, and I still remeber that tiny little dagger you fought with...really weird but left an impresion
Wow, i'm not the only one who likes Lagoon and its music =D Not a bad little game once you learn how you use the super short sword. Run To The Hill of the Phantom and Atland are also badass tracks, among others i forget the titles of..

Ah, the SNES version, I loved this game's soundtrack, it rocked the frigging house. Philip's Castle in particular had this awesome bass and drum line, even my dad started jamming to it when he used to play drums.

not my favorite song from lagoon, but a good one nontheless! I really liked this game when I was little. I agree the music is the best part, but the graphics were quite good for an early SNES game :)

This was a great game. Some people loved it and some people hated it.
Can't say I disagree. I played the game as a kid and had a pretty good time with it, but it really was quite mediocre. I know some people who loved the game though. :P Music was the best part of the game for me.
