Wow just realized this is a blatant ripoff of Schindler's List theme, they use the same theme but instead of hitting the last note they just hold the second to last, then drop something else.

its a good game. broken, but good. There are not many good song in D3, but this one ist quit good. And Leah is such a nice character. sad that she turns into diablo

One of my most anticipated titles of the year, but then I stopped playing right after I got disconnected for the first time.
Don´t forget the bosses were LESS Social! i cant belive what idiot came up with the idea of having the Lords of hell on the hotline throughout the the game.....they are suppost to destroy the world and/or enslave humanity or something not iddle chatting with the hero(es) over a cup of tea and cookies. and i miss the Scrolls, i heard they were in the beta...."sigh"
I disagree with the "Wow-like" graphics comment--I thought D3 was beautiful--but you're absolutely right about the game's atmosphere. It didn't even come close to Diablo II's. The villains in D2 are much more sinister, and having the story told from Marius's point-of-view worked brilliantly. Plus, let's be honest--D3's soundtrack has a few great songs here and there, but none of them compare to any of Uelmen's compositions for Diablo II.
i had microsleep while playing this. that game was so boring, and the charakterdevelopment so shitty. not even the cutscenes and music could make me go further than act 2.
Well, the later patches did a good job in my point of view. The paragon leveling system does nicely and gives you a good opportunity to gain new gear, the monster levels (0-10) an extra challenge to the hardcore fans (and again, better chances for loot). You don't need the auction house anymore if you don't want to use it.

Just wondering - have you heard of Virtue's Last Reward? Some nice tracks in there (but nothing too mindblowing), but more importantly it was perfect. Even with all its flaws, it was perfect.
I stopped playing Diablo III a month after launch. Even if you don't count all the other terrible things going on in my life, the game just wasn't worth it. It was a bad game. The music is fantastic though.

For me what ruined diablo 3 was how much they took away your freedom of choice. In D2 you could do pretty much whatever you wanted, paladin with only energy leveled, was possible but not viable. In D3 however, you have the "stats @lvl X" because of auto leveling, and beside that all classes only used 2 stats :P And lastly, diablo 2 had better atmosphere, somehow, the rather "wow like" graphics just dont fit diablo series.

Indeed. I mean a lot of people shelled this game with a lot of hate. But the game was quite high standard and i put in about 75 hours of enjoyment for a 50 euro. thats pretty okay :P But yeah, if you compare it to the expectations that it had attached to it. It never stood a chance. I feel the saddest part of the soundtrack was that there was nothing on par with the old "tristram theme"
Also my biggest disappointment of the year. The road to lvl 60 was awesome and took me a month. Then I realized I was spending most of my endgame time on the Auction House scouting for cheap equipment instead of actually playing the game. I loved my Witch Doctor and still think Diablo III's gameplay is close to perfection, but I thought this would be my #1 GOTY and that I'd be playing it for years to come. #9 is still a good spot, but it's not enough for the sequel to one my favorite games ever.
