Even if you're horde deep on our hearth, this is the best OST of the whole game. This blasting when you approach Stormwind... probably the most impactful memory I have of the game.

The first time I entered SW with it's epic architecture and that epic theme, I began to cry.
The old Brill tavern music was the first time I stopped and just listened to the music for a while. Mind you, this was an alt months after it came out, but up until that point I had no idea races had their own tavern music.

I've had such an on and off time with this game. My first character was a Dreanei Hunter and I agree. When I first stepped onto Stormwind, I was amazed. If it wasn't for this game, I would not be as much into gaming as I am now and I want to thank my friend for making me play it back when I was 10.
I should not be listening to this. Been finaly able to kick my adiction of this amazing game...

It didn't matter what faction or race you played as.That one moment when you enter a capital for the first time will always be etched deep into your memories. Its one of the best moments i've ever experienced in a game, IMO.

I suppose you like alliance. I quit about 4 months or so or more, I don't know...the game just wasn't doing it for me anymore. I do miss my rogue though, blood elf subtlety/combat. Probably the most fun I've had in a while. But I played since Wrath and the game was getting old, and changing too much. I had about eight 85s, but I told Blizzard to put my account on freeze so I can't come back. I'm still on armory, though.
The melody right at the start sounds very similar to Donkey Kong Country 2's title screen :)
I can't speak for Supra, but I think video game music has a special quality -because- of the stories we associate with the tracks. We're experiencing the game while we hear the music, so the emotions get tied up in the music. What a particular song sparks in your memory is half the joy of VGM, I'd say. But supra's music is awesome all on its own too - I've found great tracks from games I've never played from his uploads.

The Ironforge music is my favorite from the game.
I don't know, I really liked it. Especially the Grizzly Hills theme. It's simply divine.
It has a nordic feel to it. Not everyone is TOO into that style, heh. Myself, I feel the emotion in the music... love the lore and such even though some people will trash it.
In gameplay, WoW is just too much like an elaborate checklist for my tastes. But in all its aesthetic qualities, it blows the other MMORPGs out of the water.
I didn't really like the Wotlk-soundtrack that much, but perhaps I need to go back and listen to it again. I didn't play Wotlk that much, but I only remember the soundtrack as very depressing.
WoW was a -quiet okay- game. Classic was brilliant, BC was okayish (since there was arena play) but Wotlk...
I know exactly how you feel, i recently had to sit down and figure out my top 10 games, wow was almost number one, not just because of the game but the social aspect too. It was awesome but for me I think its time has come, been playing for like 6 years now
I'll always remember creating my first character, wandering into Elwynn, and finally reaching Stormwind...and being taken aback because of that wonderful, magnificent music
Never played a mmorpg in my life. Most hours in a single file belongs to Skyrim. Most hours overall belongs to ff10.
Nothing either of them did could possibly be worse than Burning Crusade. It's a testament to the quality of Blizzard games that I could forgive them after that heinous insult... Blood Elves... I've never been so insulted in my life.
I always played horde so this music reminds me more of the south park episode than the game. On that note I feel like playing wow again, I miss my troll hunter. I have to agree bc and vanilla days were the best for me.
I stopped playing after cataclysm, vanilla and burning crusade were the best. This song was great.

He can probably just list the whole Wrath soundtrack. That's one of the best soundtracks. Then take Invincible (love this one) song as well.
Playing WoW again, I wish I had never unsubbed. I wasn't raid ready in time for Ahn'Qiraj, and I sat out the first two expansions. I feel like I missed so many epic moments. :(

I was actually quite surprised at how little World of Warcraft tracks (and Blizzard tracks too) there are in this list so far. This one is great, and always reminds me of entering Stormwind, and doing all the business I had there. Stormwind is the best capital, no doubt, and this theme is almost best too, but the best song in this game is Thunder Bluff's theme, or perhaps The Barrens' theme.
So much nostalgia!
But i mean there are pandas!

I won't come back. Cataclysm was actually more tempting for me than MoP. I'll probably go for Guild Wars 2 next and see how that is.
I don't think you uploaded music from Warcraft 1-3 yet. Those have a nice soundtrack as well.
I surprised myself when I realised that this game is actually one of my favorites of all time. It has its place in my top 10. The amount of hours I played, the number of great moments, the nice players I grouped with... it all made for such a memorable experience. I played until Wrath of the Lich King included but eventually decided it was time to move on. I have a lot of nostalgia for this game now. I'll always remember the first time I walked into Stormwind and the chant started at 1:36.
