Thank you for all effort you put into this project. There's a lot of game series I wouldn't even know about if it wasn't for this. I was really overjoyed when I saw today's video, WoW is one of my absolute favorite games. By the by, are you excited for WoW Classic?

Played 7 years (late wotlk/early cata until mid legion) of WoW. Might return with Shadowland if the guild reunites! 1. WoW. There's nothing like WOW. I've tried FFXIV but it's just not the same 2. Tauren Druid all the way ;) Been like that since 2010 and will be like that until it dies 3. Oh man. There're so many! I remember having to desband a raid because a guildie's son was being born :) 4. Idk man... MMOs really need to be done well. Warcraft works perfectly in the MMO genre. 5. World of Diablo. I looooooooooove Starcraft but Diablo would translate to it so much better than Starcraft would ever hope to.

Did you ever play EverQuest II? Laura Karpman's score for that game is excellent! Especially tracks like "Isle of Refuge" and "Qeynos".

I played wow a year ago for some time. Leveling was a bit boring and bosses were killed in 2-3 seconds, but i think they fixed that now as i tried the game recently and difficulty raised again enough to enjoy boss mechanics: 1- Favorite MMORPG - World of Warcraft 2- Favorite Race/Class - Undead Mage (Frost). But I enjoy playing healer. 3- Fondest Memory Playing Wow - Solo-ing Kael'thas due to all friend network disconnect with a shadow priest (all the boss mechanics that controlled adventurers to fight against their teammates became broken). Engaging dungeons with only my brother instead of five people (the game is easier nowadays) a tank and a priest discipline HEAL ME, HEAL ME, YOU DO NOT HEAL ME!!!!. 4- Franchise to turn into MMORPG: Any Warhammer. Maybe wow classic, let's see xD 5- WoStarcraft or WODiablo: Starcraft

1. I can't think of any momerpuger I really got into except The Old Republic briefly. most others being subscription based, I didn't like the idea of feeling like crap if I didn't play in a particular month 2. bounty hunter 3. I dunno I shot stuff lol 4. pokemon for sure. hmm... I'm not a big fan of SAO but if VR ever became a viable platform and they made an SAO MMO it's kind of obligatory to try it right also donkey kong 5. slightly more into magic than sci fi I would say

I love to know about your story! 1. I was never a big MMORPG player but the one I played the most was Ragnarok! 2. And I liked the thieves better :B 3. And loved watching the pink jelly monsters, listening to the soundtrack! I did't really make any friends to play with :( but i liked to help people too 4. I have no idea how but Metroid came to mind?

I did play a fair bit of Wow, maybe 300 hours. But I truly sunk time into Diablo II. I still play it from time to time, and I started that game when it was released day 1 (depite being too much for my PC). Diablo II is the greatest MMORPG of all time, and the greatest pc game in many senses period.

1. Dofus. It's a french tactical MMORPG, inspired by Fire Emblem and Final Fantasy Tactics. It was wildly popular in France and South America, but not much elsewhere. It's almost 15 years old ! (Still playing today ahah) 2. Enutrof. They're eldest fortune seeker. Very versatile 3. The day I loot a Dofus, a dragon's egg, the rarest item in the game, and the goal for many players. It's my fondest video game memory of all time ! 4. Pokemon, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh... I love card games. Any game that mixes it with an MMO feel would appeal to me.

I feel like I was of a different cut, because somehow, I can play MMOs and still not let it control my life. It's tough to do it that way, but ya just gotta say "alright, the game's not goin' anywhere, it'll be there when I come back." and do what ya need to do. MMOs have really been able to captivate me though, at least in the mind. Anyways, here's my list. 1: I've played a number of MMOs before, such as Black Desert Online, Runescape, and Elder Scrolls Online, but my favorite one has to be Final Fantasy XIV. The world, music, everything about it is really phenomenal. 2: My favorite kind of character to play on FFXIV is a Hyur (human) Warrior, which is a tank class. It's really the only class I know how to play effectively, and honestly, good tanks are few and far between. 3: It's tough to choose a fondest memory, but for me, I still feel warm thinking about my first few days playing the game, starting in the city of Limsa Lominsa, doing my first few quests, and meeting someone who would eventually show me the ropes and teach me to be an effective tank. 4: Just one franchise is another tough decision. I think the Metroid series would have a really interesting MMO, if it would ever get one. Imagine taking your pick of, say, bounty hunter, Galactic Federation, space pirate, or maybe even Chozo, having your own ship, going to different planets and space stations, that kind of stuff. One reason I choose this is because I feel there's not enough MMOs to primarily feature ranged weapons (such as guns) as forms of combat, but that might just be my inner gun nut talking. 5: I can't really answer this one because I haven't played either, sorry!

i really would love them to drop wow and work on the next mmo, agreeably wotlk was the last good expansion. game ran its course years ago.

1. Blade and Soul is the only MMORPG that I can say I enjoyed a lot and I still think it has a bunch of bad stuff in it. The genre has so much potential, but they're all (for the most part) WoW clones or pay-to-win unfortunately. 2. Jin and Soul Fighter, although I play all 11 classes. The combat feels great when the server hamsters still have energy in them. 3. When I tried Rift I removed all my equipment and ended up getting a band of bodyguards protecting the girl in underwear! 4. Either Pokemon or Diablo. 5. Well, I only enjoyed the arcade in sc, so definitely Diablo.

1) I've sampled a few, including WoW, but none addicted me like City of Heroes. 2) Hard to pick, but I'll go with Mastermind for "class" (archetype); go forth, my minions! The closest the game had to "race" was origin, which didn't really affect play, but my characters leaned Magic just for the flavor. 3) Watching a fellow member of my supergroup hit the level cap at the moment we felled the mighty Lord Recluse. 4) Shadowrun. 5) Either would be pretty good, but the field already leans fantasy, so Starcraft just to add to the sci-fi end of the scale.

1. EverQuest 2. High Elf Wizard 3. Any one of the numerous 5+ hour grind fests down in LGuk/CoM/Karnor/Seb/Kael/etc., just talking shit with the guildies while exping 4. Not a franchise, but I'd love a MMO with a Xianxia setting (I'd settle for Wuxia I suppose) 5. Diablo > Starcraft

1. World Of Warcraft (it's the only MMORPG that I've played)2. Orc Death Knight is my main3. Doing achievement raids in Cata, we were in Ulduar on the way to Vezax (boss before Yogg). When we ran into his room, raid leader yelled, "STOP". I typed in "HAMMER TIME" and started dancing. A lot of people cracked up in Ventrilo. It's a memory that I'll never be able to repeat.4. Technically this already has an MMORPG but it's only in Japan and China(?) because sadly it was never popular here in the states would be Dynasty Warriors.5. I'm thinking maybe world of Starcraft, I'm not too sure you can have that environmental variety with Diablo's world

1. World of Warcraft! I started sometime after European Launch, but before the Ahn'Qiraj War effort. 2. Night Elf Druid. Been playing on some... unofficial servers and I always end up doing this one over and over. 3. I was so young when I started playing so my memories are very fuzzy. Never really been a social player either, so ironically I missed out on that aspect. If I had to pick something, it's actually watching my brother play Molten Core and Zul'Gurub. I never got to max level in vanilla, but he did and was the main tank for his guild. There's also a time during the Naxxramas pre-release event where we grouped up and I helped him take down some dark shade. He was really impressed with me (I was 12 at the time) which made me happy. I'd never seen myself as a good player, and I think it was the first time he recognized me as an equal in gaming. 4. Oh dear. Hmm... Pokémon would be amazing, but if I had to pick something else... Earthbound maybe? It wouldn't be popular at all, but it would certainly be unique. A contemporary setting that isn't a crapsack world. You could use PSI powers, bottle rockets, staples, bats and what not to fight (so many different class ideas!). And the bright cartoon style that can turn surrealistic or terrifying when it wants to. Not to mention the comedy. 5. Never played either, but Starcraft sounds cooler.

Listening to this music still manages to grab my mind and not let go off it. I managed to get over a year of /played on my main. Thinking about this video made me realize I like a lot of games, but all single moments of maximum enjoyment have been in WoW. 1) World of Warcraft. I got in because of the lore, and other games just cannot compare. Yet. 2) After my time in Warcraft 3, my shy teenage self would have gone for a Male Undead Mage or Warlock. I got in the free trial and made a Female Human Warrior so I would not get hooked. Subscribed before finishing the free trial and became the more active and decisive adult that I am now. 3) Several, but if I had to pick one it would be my guild's first kill of Gruul the Dragonkiller. Back then I was the "last tank" so I never took care of anything important. On our first kill, all the other tanks ended up dying so I had to take the boss on the final burn. Carrying the hopes and dreams of the whole group on my shoulders while taking the big hits from the boss was a feeling I will never forget. 4) Legend of Zelda MMO. I even know how it would play out. Nintendo, call me and we'll make magic happen! 5) Neither. World of Diablo would be too similar to WoW. World of Starcraft would be Warframe or Destiny. My vote goes to World of Rock and Roll Racing.

Jeez I stopped playing circa 2006-ish and that soundtrack is still nostalgic. Anywho to the questions. 1. Star Wars Galaxies (with City of Heroes a close second) though would be FFXIV for an MMO still running. 2. Human Master Smuggler, the poorest smuggler on the server as I always sliced newbie stuff for free. 3. The guild (Sunfall I think) teaming up with server admins to get a giant Imperial invasion of our player town. 4. Eh probably Pokemon as well or maybe the Mortal Engines book series as there isn't a serious Steampunk MMO out there.

We pretty much stopped playing WoW at a similar time, right before Lich King came out, and for the same reason. We knew to drop the addiction before it was too late. But oh the memories it left us with. ^_^ Question answers: 1. WoW. The only other MMORPG I played was probably Spiral Knights. 2. I was a gnome mage, but then soon after became a gnome warlock. 3. Probably exploring the new continent in Burning Crusade. Oh, and constantly soloing the Scarlet Monastery. 4. Pokémon would be great. I'd also like Fire Emblem to give something like that a shot. 5. World of Starcraft.

I feel you friend, it's the same here. Except I never stopped. I grew older and gradually managed my game time more seriously so it didn't impact me too heavily. 1- Favorite MMORPG - World of Warcraft. 2- Favorite Race/Class - Used to be Night Elf and Mage. Now it's Dark Iron Dwarf and Mage (although I've mained a warrior since 2005) 3- Fondest Memory playing WoW - Becoming Grand Marshal in 2005 on EU-Emeriss and have my guild forming a line saluting me when I strode back into Stormwind. 4- Franchise to turn into an MMORPG : Mass Effect. 5- WoStarcraft or WoDiablo : Both, but since Diablo is kind of like a dark version of Azeroth (a lot of similar elements though the stories are completely different), I'd go with Starcraft for the Sci-Fi feel.

1: My favorite MMO by far has been Final Fantasy XIV (Post 1.0), The soundtrack is amazing and I've met such awesome people by playing that game. 2: My Favorite race/ class would have to be Au Ra and either Dragoon or Red Mage for DPS and Scholar or Astrologian for healer 3: My fondest memory was finishing the first major expansion and finally being able to join the friend who got me into the game and really get into the more fun stuff. The base game was good but it was so long and gettign to the points where the story really picked up and the gameplay got better was fricking amazing. 4: I feel like its hard to choose a franchise that could make an awesome MMO but my first thoughts were Castlevania, Fire Emblem or maybe Persona? Im not really sure tbh 5: World of Starcraft to be sure

Aw man, that lovely music. Always a joy to listen to. 1) World of Warcraft. I'm actually playing it right this second! 2) I'm a fan of the worgen and the forsaken in particular, but really, I enjoy almost all races. Same goes for the classes, with hunters, demon hunters, death knights, and warriors cycling as my favourites. 3) Nothing in particular comes to mind, but in general, I have to think of all the friends I made along the way. I've been playing since 2005 and I've met so many great people. 4) Really, I'm pretty happy with Warcraft, though if I could choose, I'd like a reboot after Wrath of the Lich King or even Warcraft 3. I've been kind of disappointed by the story as of late. To be fair, though, I think MMORPGs (and RPGs in general, but from what I hear there's progress on that front) are long overdue for a renaissance, so by definition it's hard to say what kind of franchise would be suitable for the genre. 5) World of Starcraft, definitely.

I quit back in 2011 and apart from a few other players who I didn't have contact info for, the only thing I really miss is the soundtrack. Definitely makes me nostalgic for those late nights but I definitely could not commit that same amount of time anymore. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
