There is no volcano in DKC3 you are confused with DKC2 where world 2 is a volcano. Or do you mean the secret entrance to the Lost world?

DKC2 has my favorite soundtrack of all time. But my goodness is 3 underrated, all of the tracks are amazing. Even if I love David Wise to death, I wouldn't change this soundtrack for the GBA version, no chance in hell.
I felt that dkc2 was better marginally, but music, this game won , dkc2 had catchier more memorable stuff, but this games music was PERFECT for the LEVELS THEMSELVES

If Retro Studios ever makes a DKC game after Tropical Freeze (which will be very difficult to surpass), they need to incorporate a remade version of this track in it somewhere, as well as Water World. Also, I hope David Wise and possibly Eveline Novakovic (or Fischer as she was known as back then) does the soundtrack. I really admire Wise, but I think Novakovic's contributions should not be overlooked, either.
+Nate Jacobson I just did a cover of this song, I've always loved how unpleasant it sounds. But yeah Eveline's contribution to this franchises shouldn't go unnoticed. I've never gotten behind all the nagging people had towards this game. The level design varied and the graphics were amazing.

The GBA one is hilariously unfitting for Ripsaw Rage. It works alright for the other tree stages.
@Allx360 The GBA version doesn't fit the level at all. Oh look! Buzzsaws! Let's play cheery upbeat music! The SNES version fits way better. It's creepy and atmospheric.

@asdf No, it's a fantastic DK game. Beautiful graphics, fun level design, and great bosses. Just because it's not as serious as DKC1 and 2 doesn't mean it's BAD.
No DK game will beat DKC2 (Tropical Freeze came close though).

The levels where more boring in DKC3 and so was the music. Donkey and Diddy are just the best! Oh man, am I glad that everyone has his own opinion. Thank god, I don't have the same taste as you!

Dkc 3 had a fantastic soundtrack. Not as good as the first 2, but let's be honest; those soundtracks were some of the best of gaming. It would be extremely difficult to reach the quality of the 2 ost's.

they had dolby on supernes im pretty sure, that was a key selling point at the time was how good its sound quality could be if the right people made it.

They just had limited equipment at the time. No dolby, no HD, no fancy candy eyes. And yet, they were able to create visuals and soundtracks that can make the actual "HD" programmers feel ashamed of themselves.

Every Donkey Kong Country game is a 10/10, guys. Number 3 is ingenious and definitely the hardest. The fact that it has, uhhh, THREE endings is just mind blowing

@sneskegagama Halo has always been a generic First Person Shooter with absolutely nothing new or innovative. Goldeneye and Tribes gave the world proper First Person Shooting.
@n0ex Well F-ZERO GX was good but the Soundtrack wasn't as memerable as For Zelda it's still good and alot of people discredit Windwaker for it's cartoony look. and the 3rd party support sucks on the Wii due to piracy but The Wii still has the best 1st party exclusives like Mario Galaxy1-2 NewSMB Wii,TLoZTP,Metriod Prime Trilogy,DKC Returns.....

Now THIS is the music that freaked me out when I was a kid playing this game. I recall being pretty darn scared of this level. The GBA version's song for the saw level? Nooot so much... :/ It's a shame.
@n0ex well i know where your comming from, but the way the incorperated motion control for MOSTTTTT games are pretty good, likke the new dkc had it pretty good. but yea, ALL counsols nowadays are shit compared to the old days, now its just a bunch of 10yr olds screaming bloody murder and swearin, whereas the old consols never really had the whole, "blow off every organ in their body" games, but oh well, what are we gonna do?

@n0ex actually 11th, i just haven't updated my channel in a longgg time. So, I grew up on the N64 and gamecube. I also have a NES, SNES and wii (not to mention an atari) each with about 15 games. I've played the classics and while modern iterations of old series (New Super Mario Bros Wii, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Donkey Kong Country Returns) aren't as good as the old ones, they are still amazing in their own right. @Nupoe I feel the exact same way. I feel like it was fact that the games of old didn't have gimmicks like a lot of the games have now. Games back in the day attracted people with creative worlds and songs that captured the moment and made the player feel like they were actually there. Thats why people free such great vivid memories from playing old games. They seem to really appreciate the experiences that they had.

Those poor kongs...were no match for Ripsaw Rage. I remember that being my first game over of many at that stage. I could never beat it without my friend.
I'm not really a fan of this game's soundtrack, but this one piece in particular is definately one of the strongest in the trilogy.
The best song in that game. I thougt the soundtrack of the other two was better, but this one's pretty cool. I also liked the GBA version.

FUUUUUCK I hated this song. Every time I hear it I remember the frustration I had with that game and want to throw a SNES controller in response.... But that's actually why I love these games. They have these songs that you can't ever forget, where they make you remember all the greatest and worst levels... All the beautiful graphics, and the difficulty level.... The fun, and the pure hatred for the tree levels.

Not only DKC. A lot of kid's games had sinister stages and music. I remember being scared when Sonic drowned in Labyrinth Zone. Having almost drowned myself, I stopped playing when I reached that stage.

Normally, I tend to like the GBA version's themes a bit more than the SNES version's themes, but this does make a very nice Halloween-themed song and happens to be one of my favorite SNES version songs. **Remembers hearing this music in the fanmade game Super Mario Blue Twilight**
