I really liked this game, and I liked that each character had a style of music that corresponded to them. It made them feel more unique. Rouge's music was usually my favorite.

I dunno why everybody's dogging on the lyrics, I like they way they're unique and creates these images in your mind. "Once it was a coal pit but now it's a water ride". "I'm in narrow hallways. running like it's a ballgame"? That line describes my busy school life so perfectly, in fact I think that line whenever I'm rushing from class to class on the campus, lol.
I didn't think i would have to say this but this music is sexy, ya know what i mean?
It's relaxing
I don't understand this poor choice of music. For me almost any other music of this game is better than this one. Even among the rap musics from this game, i think this is the less entertaining one.

This game came out before I became a fan of rap music. Back then I disliked the fact that they used rap for Knuckles' stages. Despite that, I still couldn't bring myself to hate this song back then. It's the kind of rap song that almost anyone could enjoy.

@Huramibit I'm using headphones as well and it's not that bad, unless you're listening to it REALLY loud....
The background synth effect is downright painful on headphones, as it strobes back and forth between the ears way too quickly.

I consider Sonic Adventure 2 the last reasonably good Sonic game. It was flawed in some important ways, but it was still worth playing. The soundtrack on the game was very good (Live and Learn, anyone?). In fact, about the only thing about recent Sonic titles that I would say has been consistently good is the music.
Ha, honestly i've always seen sonic being smug as a part of him since the beginning! I think It really suits him! Although the writing in the Modern games is really groan inducing. We had better story in the adventure games imo

When it comes to modern Sonic-games, I haven't liked any of the games since Sonic Heroes (but that wasn't really a Sonic-game, more like a 3d-platformer). But I really enjoy the clipscenes in all the games. Oh well, I got Sonic Generations today, let's see if it was worth it

I feel like the Sonic Adventure games get dismissed too often for being just another 3D sonic game. Honestly, I thought they were pretty damn good, especially for the time (I've gone back and played SA1 and 2, and I will say that 2 has aged better than SA1...). I also did always like the chill hip-hop beats that the knuckles levels got.
This one is chill. Loving this.
I have to admit that the chaos emerald hunting stages weren't my cup of tea, aside from piloting knuckles and some of the songs. This was a standout in terms of ambiance I guess. My personal favorite track will always be Biolizard battle part 1's theme.
Sonic Adventure 2 had some good jazz-ish tunes.

Considering SupraDarky's fan followers I was expecting a lot of unjustified hate towards Sonic, or at least hate of modern games from retro fans in the comment section. I'm glad to see that's not the case :)
If it counts for anything, this is Knuckle's song, not Sonic's.
SA I preferred the gameplay. And while I like a lot of the soundtracks, I find it hard to argue with SA2 having the best, if not one of the best Sonic soundtracks. City Escape, Metal Harbor, Radical Highway, Eggman's theme, Pumpkin Hill, Aquatic Mine, Meteor Herd, the one that against the BioLizard, Live & Learn are my favs.
Best sonic game and one of the hardest levels in that game. Had great music too.

Sonic Adventure is one I like. Sonic 2 and 3 are the other two I like. I generally don't like Sonic or his games though. I did try Generations and found that alright.
YAY, about time a Sonic Adventure 2 song is uploaded on this amazing list. No need to feel Sonic Adventure 2 being a guilty pleasure SupraDarky, it's awesome (and so is it's music). I personally find it to be the only 3D Sonic game I really like.
Pumpkin Hill is the best rap song ever. I'M HEARIN' SOMEONE SAYIN' "YOU WERE CHICKEN, DON'T BE SCARED!" IT HAD TO BE THE WIND BECAUSE NOBODY WASN'T THERE!

Guilty pleasure? Nothing guilty about this! This game has an amazing soundtrack and all of Knuckles' tracks (EXCEPT Pumpkin Hill) were god like!

Well this one's a guilty pleasure. I've already said I've never been a fan of most 3D Sonic games (except the last couples ones that seem nice), and that includes the way Sonic has been portrayed, trying to be cool and all. I really don't like that. Still, I heard this song 10 years ago and I remember it quite well, and I like the instruments.
Sonic has always been portrayed as 'cool' well before the 3D era
