I remember when I was reeeeally little and played the Megadrive version. Got so stuck on the first or second level lmao. Those were the days :/. As for the track, I love the drumbeat when it plays on its own for a matter of seconds in the middle. Great stuff :).
The Genesis version of this song is WAY better.

Correction, it's actually all the Special Editions, (Sega CD and Windows 95), and the DOS version.

@DaManoMano Different developers, vastly different gameplay styles, actually yes, you could easily argue that. Hell, Nintendo took one (Donkey kong) and flat out changed it's name for this sake (Mario VS Donkey Kong).

@Arc13 Megaman X was better than 2 or 3 for some people, and that didnt come out eons later.
@Arc13 True, MM1 is the precursor, so we can forgive it. :P I was only saying that MM4-6 are more polished game than the 1st imo, but it's ok since it's the great-grandfather of MM games: it hasn't aged well, but you gotta respect your origins. ^__^ I never implied MM4-6 were better than 2-3 though... So yeah, you're pretty much right on this example. And sorry, didn't see that last sentence on your original comment. Twice, it seems... :\
On the Internet at least, the general consensus is that MM2 and 3 were the best and that the others were all inferior, though each game has its proponents. Everyone seems to mostly want to forget about MM1, which, let's be honest, was a glitchy mess.

@Arc13 DKCR.. after playing the old snes games i build up quite some skill playing them. So it was terrible to find out the controls of that game were so different (aint broke dont..) And the music? well rehash the old ones, the kids'll love it.. so dissapointing..
@pelletier1986 Without MM1 we wouldn't have MM, not to mention the creation of most of the series staples exist within 1 & 2. On top of this you'd still have to contend is 4-6 really better than 2 & 3? Again, also, LAST SENTENCE. When you're going to argue against a comment please read the entire thing, because I covered all modern games such as 9 & 10 with the simple phrase "Nice to see some of them returning after eons."
@Arc13 Wait, wait, wait... M4-6 are still way better than MM1. Also, just check MM9-10, they really went back to their roots on these ones, and they're very high quality games. Although I agree for MMX1-3: MMX4-7 were the worst of all the classic AND the X series.

@drunyon214 You sir are correct. I love the Mega Mans and DK but you can admit DKC VS Dk64, it stands out. And as for MM1-3 VS MM4-6? No contest. That's why I added the lose their edge that made them famous bit. As for Generations and DKCR, I def covered those with that last sentence... "Nice to see some of them returning after eons."

@DaManoMano I think he was suggesting that Mega Man dropped off in quality after the first three games... which was quite true, the series took a noticeable turn for the worse.

Why is it so many mascots die/lose their edge that made them famous after 3 games? Earthworm Jim Crash Bandicoot Sonic The Hedgehog Spyro The Dragon Donkey Kong Mega Man Timesplitters Rayman Jak & Daxter I can go on... Nice to see some of them returning after eons. Rest in peace for the rest of them.
I personally prefer the PC version, because you just can't beat that CD-quality music :)

I actually got to meet Tommy Tallarico at the VGL Concert in New Orleans a few years back. I must say, he's a really nice guy. Funny too! It was really cool learning about how EJ came to be and how its soundtrack came to be as well, since I played it so much as a little girl. I love this song so much, its probably one of my favorites of the series.

I played this one on the SNES originally and really liked the unique atmosphere with great music by Tallarico. Great humor too. I know some people prefer the SNES version and others the Genesis version. Since I like all the versions, I went with the neutral PC version. ;) I'll always remember the Villi People stage in EJ2 with the strangely fitting Moonlight Sonata music playing, that stage was pretty hard as a kid.
