As a parody, this game was okay, but as a game it was pretty mediocre. This tune is nice though.
A really good game, maybe too easy if you're accoutumate to dragon quest serie. :p

Yes, it is a homage to NES/SNES era RPG games and the game makes numerous references to classic games. Highly reccomend you get it, it's cheap, $3 and comes with Cthulhu Saves the World
Just seeing the titel makes me want to wonder ''Did these guys take the name from CAPCOMs Breath Of Fire? one of my most beloved franschises EVER!''??? Nice song btw. I like it.
@xSayPleasex Crazy how that happens, if it's unintentional. Robo's Theme from Chrono Trigger is Never Gonna Give You Up was also supposedly incidental. I wonder if it's just a repression of a heard song, then it popping up in the composer's mind without recognizing that it was from somewhere OR perhaps different musicians genuinely come up with the same melody. Calculus was discovered by both Einstein and Leibniz, so who knows. Maybe there's some math to this art.

of all the vgm (and especially from 16bit rpgs) i listened, this is one of the finest. it somehow manages to sound sad and gloomy but happy and joyful at the same time. it makes u feel u are on an adventure, exploring new lands... like in good ol times ~sigh~

@stickmanbrains I've looked it up, and apparently, there aren't any other Breath of Death games, I think it was meant to be more of a parody.

I got the same pack a while ago, finished the Cthulhu one and loved it. I think it has some of the best vgm I've heard in a while.

9 more. I'm sure its going to be a classic. I beat this game also it was quite fun. You'd thing the old retro rpg would make more of a mainstream comeback due to how simple and easy it is to play.

The piano riff in this song is reminding me of the guitar of another song, but I'm having difficulty remembering what.
At first I read it as Breath of and assumed it ended with Fire and I was all "GASP! A new game!" Then I finished reading it and was all ":( Oh well, good music."

I bought the Zeybod pack on Steam which contains this game and Cthulhu Saves the World, for a dollar or two during the sale. I finished this game today, it took me about 4 hours. It's a short old school RPG with some great humorous dialog and some surprisingly interesting gameplay mechanisms. The graphics look like Dragon Warrior on the NES with some great synth music. I'm going to start Cthulhu next.
