Why has no one made a symphonic metal arrangement of this song?
I'd love to see a remake of this game. All it needs are a couple gameplay tweaks, and it'd be perfect. People complain about the running mechanic, but it wasn't that bad. I had a lot of time on my hands when I played this game, that might be why I love it so much. I worked with the games mechanics instead of complaining about them and got through the game smoothly several times. I kinda want to replay it again.
A lot of the problems with the game stem from how all the gameplay mechanics clash with each other. Other games (Final Fantasy: 4 Heroes of Light and Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines come to mind) use various portions of the mechanics and tweak them a bit, and come out better for it. It essentially has Alone in the Dark's problem; someone needed to be there to tell the people making the game to stop making more innovations.

The only good DS RPG I can think of is the remake of Final Fantasy IV. The two Mario & Luigi games on DS are pretty good as well but they pale in comparison to the original GBA game.

That "losing health when running" looks stupid, but... who the heck runs away from battle in a RPG? Just beat 'em out!!! :D
Didn't like this game at all for one reason. Not being able to choose what to attack! In boss battles the AI was smart enough to take out the smaller guys first, but in regular battles it could all go to hell even though I could easily take them out. In the end played it through autoing the regular battles so I could get the blue chests

@SupraDarky: I don't know if I should agree with you or not. But the fact that I enjoyed Lunar really much back in PS1 era.
Wow, I was gonna post a similar comment, but now I wonder... How mny people bought this desparate for a DS RPG? We are all so impatient. Proof? Had we waited, we could look at the lineup today and see the DS has some of the best RPGs of the generation. This is what happens when you do not wait.
Well i am one of those retards that actul beat this terriable game, the smart move i did was selling it for 50 bucks to some dumb guy i meat at an airport. I think that guy wants me dead now for ripping him off so badly. I have no regrets selling it to him, because i was share my pain with some one. one other good thing is that this game has escaped my mind up until listening to this. Now i must go bleach my mind of this game again though the wonder of mindless tv show.
Haha, I was desperate for an RPG when I got this game too. First DS game I ever sold away since it was such a waste of time.
I remember being interested in this when I was about to get a DS in 2005. Then I heard nothing but bad reviews for it and promptly forgot about it...
@SupraDarky And you had you blow into the mic to run away...and guess who had a messed up mic when playing it. It would kick me out of random battles from time to time and it got infuriating.
The only game where loosing health while running makes sense is Half Minute Hero
@SupraDarky I completely agree. While I had fun at first, the whole "choose between exp and items that will never get you enough money" frustrated me and I ended up using my AR to get infinite money, cause it would take forever otherwise. Finally, towards the end the battle system got very repetitive and the difficulty ramped up too quickly.
It's worrisome that when people think of one of the best RPG series of the last 15 years or so, the first thing they think of is My Little Pony.

I didn't really like this game. I was pretty desperate for an RPG on the DS at the time which is why I played it. It's not even in the same league as Silver Star and Eternal Blue. The only thing it had going for it was the music and the pleasant graphics. The battle system was broken (why choose between getting experience or items?), and losing health when running was ridiculous.
