I know some people had issues with the gameplay (and yeah the camera was my worst enemy in both games when I was a kid), but the soundtrack to both games is g o d l i k e. Major staple of my childhood :)
Amazing how i can remember this theme after not having played seen or heard anything from the game since i was in the single digits age. Just stumbled upon the game visually and thought it was slightly familiar, but this song is unforgettable.

Wow... I haven't heard Croc's music since I was a kid when I actually played this but I recognise this song. This is actually pretty well-composed; that guitar is pretty nice.

The Argonaut founder Jez San has the rights and seems to avoid first-hand game development involvement by working exec and investor positions. That bankruptcy and getting screwed royally by Nintendo explain why. No way he's gonna let that stuff happen again.

I played this game when I was a wee midget, but could never get past the mines :s. I can't remember any of the music though and this vid has made me want to revisit the game.

This game made my childhood... And also, the soundtrack for this game is one of the best I've ever seen (or heard). I remember playing this game when I was 8 or 9... Everyday after I came back from school, I'd spend the rest of the afternoon on my PC playing Croc 2... Damn, those were the days.
This reminds me of Cait sith´s theme from FF7, it´s so alike. Awesome!
Actually, I just went back and watched a playthrough of this level, and remember feeling similarly about the lava. This and Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine...

I remember I made my mom purchase this game for me at my birthday. While I loved playing it I was afraid it was going to be too short. I mean the first time I played it I was near beating the first world, which I at the time was afraid would be the entire game as there was no indication of anything else. Fortunately the game consisted of more than one world. :D I think the difficulty of this game was just right. :) As I said earlier, the games had major problems with the camera.

I've beat both 100%. I still think there is a problem with the camera. The camera problems was the reason for why it didn't sell so well.
Every game takes a while to get used to. At first, Croc is crazy hard. Then it just sorta... works for you.
i do love the croc themes... definitely deserves a couple more spots on this list
Problem with the two games, especially the first was the directional controls. I think Fox tried to create a decent 3D platformer, like so many others at the time, but as I said it somewhat failed horribly because of the directional controls. Except for that, both games were great.
I have to say, this is actually a good platformer. Definitely recommended to those who still have ps1 lying around... if not there are always emulator... I definitely enjoyed this when I was a kid. Even now I quite remember the song.

i played the first one to completion but it wasn't all that memorable. Primarily the controls were iffy.

Never played this game, but this is kick ass music.
@balltavorb Yeah, in the first world where you had multiple tasks, one was to win a cart race. if you messed up early on you guarenteed lost. However strangely enough if you could somehow get past the guy in 1st, then you sped up so fast it was literally impossible to lose.

My younger sister got this game for her birthday back in the day. It may as well have been mine since I played the hell out of it and masked me helping her with me actually playing it haha. A surprisingly good platforming game and underrated gem of the PS1.
This was my favourite level! I remember the music faintly. But right now, it kinda reminds me of Spy vs. Spy for the xbox and ps2. :P

This was a surprisingly good platformer, I only played it at a friend's house when I was a kid though. This particular theme was the most memorable for me. The soundtrack has some good quality tracks overall, helped by great instrumentation.
