May these three (soon to be four) games go down in history alongside the mother trilogy, the DKC games, and LBP 1 and 2 as some of the best ever.
Pikmin 1 (and 2-3, to a lesser extent) is pure undiluted charm in videogame form.

Miamoto said that pikmin didn't trust Olimar thats why they didn't respond so good.That also explains why they respond better in pikmin 2 they trust Olimar more than in pikmin 1.
also pikmin was unbelievably glitchy. u know, with the bridges, the pikmin not responding to whistles, pikmin falling through the ground when fighting wollywogs, etc.
One of the best Nintendo games I've ever played. Cant wait for Pikmin 3.
This game was amazing and definitely had some of best music for any Gamecube game. A must have game for this system.

This is a game I just did not put enough time and attention into. Still a good game though.
It is recommended to adapt yourself on the guitar, cause otherwise the theme does not sound.

I am really pissed that they never released Pikmin 3 for the Wii and now I have to get a Wii U to play it? no.

@GameMasterR5 to be honest with you I consumed a lot of days just "grinding" for more pikmins. I wasn't doing well in collecting the parts, so I basically gave up on finishing the main quest. I've returned to the game later though and finished it in 10-15 days (like 4 years after).

Even tho Pikmin was a very very short game on GameCube it was one of my favourites :)
Ah, Pikmin is one of my favourite games for the gamecube. I prefer Pikmin 2 a great deal though, because the time constraint in pikmin 1, although making it more difficult, took away a lot of the "explore and discover" aspect of the game, imo. I'm also not very good under time constraints, lol.
Does anyone think that some songs in the first Pikmin resemble the ones in Wario Land 4?

@Koopser Every Wii remote you plug a classic controller into takes 2 batteries. That's 8 batteries for 4 classic controllers. Batteries are expensive, and so is buying a new Wii remote to use an additional classic controller. I'm excited for the Wii U, but man, stuff like this gets me down. It wouldn't even be an issue if you could use 4 touch-screen controllers, but nope, only one per system. So yeah, I hope they make a normal controller for the Wii U. The alternatives are too impractical.
@Masz52 Sorry, but the classic controller just doesn't cut it. You have to plug it into a Wii remote and use batteries. That's 4 Wii remotes, 4 classic controllers, and 8 batteries, just to play a game with normal controllers with your friends. That's ridiculous. The Wii had the advantage of working with the Gamecube controller, but it doesn't seem like the Wii U is going to do that. Nintendo REALLY needs to make new standard controllers that work ON THEIR OWN with the Wii U.
@eishikibahamut They did give you a normal controller. Two in fact. The Classic Controller and Classic Controller Pro. The Wii U controller is a normal controller outside of the touch screen anyway, just shaped like an iPad. Every report I read from people who held the controller at E3 said that it's actually very comfortable and lighter than it looks. Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing how the really creative developers use the Wii U controller's touch screen.
@eishikibahamut I can only speculate a more limited amount of uses the touchscreen and motion control can have on more ordinary games, however. I don't know how pikmin would benefit much from these additions and the positioning of the joysticks are very awkward on the wii u controller. Hopefully you're right and it will have classic controller support.
@Masz52 Sigh. Why can't nintendo just give me a normal controller. The xbox360 controller is probably the best and most comfortable. If it's not broken don't fix it is exactly how I feel about controllers. I can see where the touchscreen could come into play for some games that are more puzzle oriented, which just wouldn't work without them like professor layton and ghost trick.

Oddly enough, I was playing Pikmin an hour ago. This and the final area music are definitely my favorites, but all the music is pretty sweet.
Nintendo can't grasp the true form of my exitement for the Wii U.

Pikmin is awesome, but what i've heard of the Wii U scares me. No game cube controller support and only one screen controller per console is very troublesome for someone who really didn't like the wiimote.

this song has a funky beat
I've always been a fan of this theme, it gives off a nice atmosphere. I like the looped bass melody that stays throughout the music. It's pretty easy to drift to and works perfectly well as a background theme while playing the game or surfing the net. It looks like we'll finally get Pikmin 3 on the Wii U. I can imagine a lot of possibilites with the controller's tablet. Oh and I'm pretty sure Pikmins are the last original characters made by Miyamoto, we're due for new ones !
