i heard un the simtropolis news that MAXIS (creator of simcity) is hiring more employes to make a new game. It also lined me to another website that said to make sim city 5, the computer needs a much larger hard drive to store the game's memory. Well, it might be coming out next year or in 2013. It's coming though! :D

Sim City 4 pretty much perfected the formula, as far as I'm concerned. Now a new Sim Tower would be awesome.
I don't think there will be a new Sim City after the atrocious Sim City Societies killed the series. There is hope with other developers. A futuristic city builder called "Anno 2070" is due out in a few months.
@TwistedNsanity Yeah, Sim City 4 has fantastic music. If you haven't heard the rest of its tracks, I suggest you check them out.

I actually just bought Cites XL 2011, after playing this game a bunch. The music is great, but it seems so outdated now. And I suck at the game, anyway.

Yup. I'm ready for Sim City 5. I almost bought CitiesXL 2011 on Steam the other day, but I didn't because Sim City has spoiled me. Great song choice, SupraDarky!

Great music while you're busy managing your city. I think we're due for a new Sim City, it's been 8 years already. Especially since it's always been successful quality and sales wise.
