I loved Devil May Cry 4, the originality of the soundtracks matched those of DMC 1. Darksiders 2 was also great. The God of War series also kicks ass with its music. So I guess any non-FPS game has great music potential. Oh yeah, and Capcom (also made DMC) are the best when you look at all their soundtracks.

I think it's more because the 8-bit era was dominated by the big Japanese developers. I still think Nintendo (as an example) have some of the best music in their games (always have done and always will do). Whereas this generation, Western developers are more prominent, and without hating on them, I just don't think they can create music as good as some of the best Japanese developers.

@666666MetalHead I don't know about Mass Effect, but Fallout 3's soundtrack is composed of songs from the 30's and 40's. So that's not a good example.
@Lunarvx22 Listen to Mass Effect's OST's of Fallout 3's. They are more inspired than most of the "modern" games. Still, Megaman is unbeatable.

The metal man weapon is the GOD weapon of every megaman/rockman game. Even metalman is weak against it.
Seems only fitting the best music from the game (And Wily's Stage of course) also has the Robot Master with the best weapon in the game.
About tiiiime! the most overpowered MM weapon in history. In the best megaman game in the history! god i have played this game so much and it is still brilliant! Not alot of games, if any, can compare with MM2's music o verall. It's a beast!

I remember when I first heard this theme in 2007... I was like "Wow, they had that much awesome back in 1988???" Still the best Robot Master theme ever composed.
@SupraDarky The Metal Blades are by far THE most broken weapon and that game, and my god are they awesome.
this theme and Spark Man's theme are the most danceable songs in the Mega Man series.

Mega Man 2 was always my favorite ^^
The first robot master I picked when I played the game for the first time. That made this theme quite memorable. Wily's stage from this game will be the first on the list to reach a million views, which is really impressive.
