I'm getting Dire, Dire Docks vibes with the piano.
This came on in the background... I tab over after about 30 seconds, thinking, "Damn, this already sounds really good, what is this?" And of course it's by Yoko Kanno. The woman is a freaking BOSS.
What pisses me off is that this game will never get a real soundtrack release. Just what we can rip from the .ogg files.
I have the whole soundtrack in FLAC if you want (extracted from the official CDs).
If you could upload it somewhere when you get the time I would really appreciate it.

Ragnarok Online's soundtrack is the second/sixth folder in the "01. Official" folder. Ragnarok online II's soundtrack is the second folder in the "05. Other" folder. Sadly, the version of "Swamper" that was included in the download is completely different than the one shown in this video, but every other song seems to be the exact same. I don't know why this is, but it's really unfortunate because I really like this song. I'm new to dropbox, so i don't know if this link will work or not/how long it will last.

I haven't played MMORPGs or any MMOs all that much, but it's obvious I have developed some kind of affection to ambient game music. I feel enthusiastic, even thrilled listening to this piece even though I've never played Ragnarock Online or anything the like. Despite player chats and other things breaking the illusion a little, the feeling of exploration and amazement is very hard to sweep away.
I had no idea Yoko Kanno made music for video games! I absolutely loved her work in Cowboy Bebop (I'm pretty sure the anime was made as a vehicle for her amazing music! Seatbelts RULE!), and Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex sounded damn cool as well. Thanks again for opening my ears to something new!

Yeah very soothing. And gives that ocean feeling, like you're watching all these crazy fish through glass, or walking around on the seabed floor.

@SupraDarky Gawd, your collection is so breath taking. Have you ever considered distributing some genre-specific playlists via torrents to your fans? It'd be, hands down, a dream come true. :)
7 years late I know, but any specific genres in mind? I have mp3's of all the songs in this playlist (and anyone else can have them) so he doesn't necessarily have to do it.

So this game any good? I have played RO1 a couple of years ago and thought it was OK though a tad to repetitive for my taste.

Oh man, I love the RO2 soundtrack :D RO was my most favorite MMO, and the music really made it something special. Then RO2 was announced and they said Yoko Kanno was doing the sound track, I pretty much jizzed my pants. While the game was disappointing, the soundtrack for RO2 is amazing!

Well here's to another 100. Can't believe #1000 will be reached, never thought it'd go that far when I started it. This is actually one of my favorite meditating game music, eyes closed and just relaxing. It's great for surfing the web or doing some homework as well. I'm a fan of Yoko Kanno in general, I still listen to Cecil's Garden quite often.
