Thunder Spirits had a great OST. I personally prefer the Thunder Force III OST, but I'm an FM nerd. Toshinori Hiramatsu did some amazing music and is definitely in my top VG musicians list along with people like Yuzo Koshiro and Hiroshi Kawaguchi! <3
Was this made by TechnoSoft? It seems very similar to Thunder Force.
@Moop Bread Yes, it is! It's basically Thunder Force III, but with a few different levels.

Check out the original genesis version (thunderforce 3)it destroys this game in every concievable way!
If I'm not mistaken, the port for the SNES actually originated from Thunder Force AC, the arcade version of Thunder Force III for the Sega Genesis. In fact, Thunder Force AC ended up itself is a modified port of Thunder Force III.

This game produced a lot of nice music. I especially enjoyed this one, along with "The grubby dark blue" (the water world, stage-#3) and "Be menaced by Orn" (final boss, I think.)

its all a matter of opinion which version sounds better. i prefer the snes chip sound, but the genesis can sound good as well. ive heard both versions, both are great
@charger619c mmmm indeed. "strat" = "start" what else? "raise up" = "get up" I guess "set up in the CD" = "on the CD" I know for sure I'm not the worst English speaker out here... heck I don't care, everybody understood

WOW Thanks for putting this up! You would be surprised, but I actually raise up in the morning with this song! I've got this set up in the CD that plays when my alarm clock strat (along with The Grubby Dark Blue from this game, which is a little bit better I think). Anyway, this game have a killer soundtrack! Gotta replay it someday...
I had this playing in the background and thought it was a Megaman X game.
More games need giant robo lizards on their boxes. Heck more games need giant robo lizards in general, seems they were all shot into exctinction in the 90's.
Man, more and more SNES games with killer music. What a seriously awesome soundchip that side from Turbographix, no other retro console can replicate it's sheer music quality and creativity.

A great scrolling shooter for the SNES, basically a modified port of Thunder Force III for the Genesis. I rented this game when I was a kid and finished it in one sitting and I had forgotten about it until someone suggested a theme from this game on my channel.
