I find it funny how the OST is almost always the last consideration for a game, often just a thrown together last minute job, to tick a box. While it's not as important as gameplay, graphics or even sound effects in the game - I really wish triple A games would put more effort into OSTs looking at you COD and Ass creed.
I own this game but it's near impossible to play with my crappy aftermarket controller. Stupid crosshairs spazz out all over the screen! Gah!
I would replay this mission just to bust up a whole ship full of soldiers along this music.

i first played goldeneye 10 or 11 yrs ago. i use to love fps back then, but as i grew older i moved on to the platforming/adventure. goldeneye is the only fps i can play multiple times and never get bored, other fps will never have the same effect on me.
If any game had good music, it was this game for sure, it just suited the game so god damn well, back in a day when this was as powerful as graphics could get within reason so studios had to focus on other factors.

This is a game that will be remembered for being awesome. The music is brilliant, the connection between the movie and the game is kinda meh, James Bond going on missions he never went to in the movie but nevermind, the levels were good. The sound effects for the guns were amazing. When me and some friends a while back tried to play multiplayer we realized how derp the controls were, gameplay is actually pretty retarded. I just had to hear this song though. DAT MUSIC.

@DepressionMoon Do you watch the anime called Bleach? There's a song on it's OST called "Attack on the Beat" that sounds similar to this one. If so, then that's probably why this song sounds familiar.

@TheEvalButterfree Until you've played TS, you have no idea about the speed of these games. Once you play them, you can't go back. CoD is one of the slowest games ever after so much Timesplitters play It has the award for fastest FPS ever for a good reason. And rare's other shooters also happen to be quite fast, notat the same level but still very fast paced.

@Arc13 people will always choose the game that is better for them remember many people still play online on halo 1 and that game was made 4 xbox in 2002 or so. no updates for ages. many hackers because its easy to hack. "bad graphics". no friends list. superseeded by halo 2 but still halo 1 has an active community we will never know why

@sharinggon456 they are both good for thair time (but goldeneye has had its time and its not so good without nostalgia effect trust me) i personally spend alot of time playing mk wii and halo reach with friends

@sharinggon456 Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Timesplitters, the only acceptable FPS games. Why? Simple, the Goldeneye team/Rare is responsible for all of these series. Sad that ironically most of them are attempting to be murdered by modern shooters...

Funny how a movie licensed game(wich usually tends to really stink) is considered one of the greatest nostalgia FPS out there, and what also defined multiplayer back then. Don't get me wrong here, I fucking love this game.

Ah, the memories, the memories. Crazy how far Rare has fallen. They never were the same after Doak, Norgate and company left and formed Free Radical; just lost too much talent and didn't replace it adequately. I heard that Microsoft put them to work programming the Live avatars and Kinect sports, which is kind of pathetic.
Wii version is good fun - nothing to write home about, but it doesn't shame the franchise or anything. If you loved the original I would recommend picking it up.
@SupraDarky It is nowhere near N64 goldeneye the campaign is pretty good, but if you want a good FPS on the Wii for the multiplayer experience you gotta go for black ops

@trashedscatter Definitely true. All the best soundtracks on the N64 were Rare games (Goldeneye, Jet Force Gemini, Banjo-Kazooie).

Probably the game I played the most with friends on a couch, that and Mario Kart 64. Awesome split screen fun. I haven't played the Wii game yet but I heard some good things about it.
