Such a terrific game! Super nostalgic! The music, the characters, the dialogue--with voice acting!--and the outrageous story blended with fun gameplay to make a PS1 action rpg masterpiece.
This was a really enjoyable game. I miss this one tons. I'm sure it would be be very hard to go back to now with the lack of polygons, but it sits in the nostalgia corner of my brain comfortably.

This game was so slept on. My mom bought this for me. It was the game that I asked for but it ended up being one of my all time favorites.
bought this for 3$ at a EB store... Was a real steal! I should find the time to play it tho...
@Sayeth0Di0Puppeth It was a spiritual sequel, while it was good, it didn't have the humor and enticing gameplay the first one had.
He reminds me of sasuke from the goemon games. x3 I played the PS2 version, was that a sequel or a remake?

This was a fun game... more humorous than most of Square's games. Too bad I never beat it.

the first rpg ive ever played in my life
most people bought it/rented it for the FFVIII demo. I ended up liking BFM above FFVIII, personally. It's short, but funny and amusing and can be a bit challenging at times. Boss fights are nice, and the music in general is awesome.

We must stop Steamwood from blowing up and destroying Allucaneat Kingdom! We cannot let the Vambies (I think?) from awakening! We must hold them off in the boarded up old church until dawn! Darn that restaurant with the secret huge underground fire dungeon! I conquered the dancing sister in the final dungeon! So many epic memories.
That white cloud in the sky might just be the White Whale of Heaven ;)
@VGKing If you wanted to slash your way through the game, play the game's spiritual sequel, Samurai Legend Musashi. You needed tactics to complete this game, especially learning when to sleep and how to sleep enough effectively. You can also just buy some items that helped wake you up, as well, I believe.
@VGKing That system was actually very important throughout the game. Obviously, if you were using it during battle, you're doing something wrong.

This game. . -sigh- Nostalgia through and through. This game was amazing in every way. I loved the subtle humor and all the references to food (Allucaneet Palace? Brilliant) and the gameplay was brilliant. I think I'm going to replay this game this week. Thank you Supra.
It sounds a bit scratchy without 720p+ turned on. This is a game I'll need to replay soon since I've only played it once back in '99. It gives me a lot of nostalgia, especially hearing this particular track. I think it came with a demo of Final Fantasy VIII as well, which was quite exciting.
