love Suikoden 2 last year my mum had a small stroke (she is fine) but while she recovered, she wanted something to do with her hands so I gave her my psp with Suikoden 1 and 2 once I explained how you play a jrpg she really enjoyed them watching my old mum experience the same games I loved as a kid is really satisfying

Best theme in best game. Coupled with the images of the main trio as kids made for a hell of a powerful scene.

Kinnison (the guy w/ the bow) has been my crush eversince i first played this game at 9 yrs old (Im now 21). I place him in my party every single time lol. And Shiro too bc I dont want them apart. I love this game and brings back so many memories.
1:52 minutes of awesomeness. the feels, man! all my childhood memories is coming back. this game is truly amazing. i wish i'm as free as i was a kid. i would play the shit out of this game all over again. also, we need a remake of better graphics for this game! final fantasy won't stand a chance.

@tom4465 It's fantastic, fairly long, with a lot of sub-plots and interesting characters. I played the hell out of it as a kid, and I still have my copy.

Suikoden V is the best in the series as far as I'm concerned. Surpasses Suikoden II slightly. But that's only my opinion! Either way, they are both great games.

IV is "bleh", V ties at first place for my favorite in the series along with II.
V was a pretty great game, but unfortunately Konami ditched the series creator after Suikoden III, and although they eventually asked him back to finish up the series' epic plot he said it was impossible given the deviations from his plan that were done in Suiko IV and V (Basically there was too much ground to cover for one game). Would have loved to see that final battle against the power of the Circle Rune, but alas it will never come to pass...
They should remake it in high detail. But try not to ruin it either. If they promoted this better it'd be bigger then Final Fantasy and that's saying something!

@SupraDarky Honestly, if you're a fan of 1 and 2 I wouldn't bother with the newer titles. They, in my opinion, ruined the Suikoden series. 3 and 5 were....meh.Stick with 1 and 2 if you want the best Suikoden experience! ---->Biggest Suikoden fan evah! lol Suikoden 2 has yet to be released on PSN but if you can find a PS1 emulator and download the ROM you could still play it without having to fork over the $200 bux for the actual game.
@tom4465 You know, I tried this game last year, since so many people are rambling about it. The story had some potential, as did the battle system, but the dialogue was insane. By the time I reached the line "Call me 'uncle' again...", I had enough. ...that said, I really like this song!

If you keep insisting not to jump at the beginning you can fight indefinitely. I trained until about level 10, because I'm a horrible RPG power gamer.
I got this game for a present when I was a kid. Best present ever. I still have it, though it is not in mint condition anymore. I loaned it to my friends too often as a kid. What a stupid child I was. ;_;
When the singing came in, my eyes just begun to water.. Had to wipe away a tear. This is a beautifull theme..

@SupraDarky IV doesn't exist, much like Tierkreis. V is quite good though.
I must be one of the few who enjoyed all of the suikoden games and the Konami Company as a whole before they butchered everything with "Pachinko Machines". Its sad really so many great series are now dead.... :(
@garfreeek No, you should go PLAY it (I don't care how, just find a way). Suikoden II is one of the best RPG's ever made. Also Suikoden II ISN'T on PSN, because Konami hates making money.

@SupraDarky Wow, you were so lucky to get it then. These days it is pretty expensive. But it is a great game and this is a great music. Really, no questions here. And you definitely should try Suikoden IV and V. Those are amazing games. IV not so much, but it isn't bad, only the main character looks weird. The V is actually pretty good and many say that it gets close the II as much as possible.

@HeavensMeat Plays right after Jowy and Riou jump to escape the Highland Army at the very beginning of the game. I think it's the only time the song plays, sadly enough, so it'd make sense that you don't remember it.

Amazing game. I've finished it a few times by now. One of my favourite games definetly. I've played a bit of Suikoden 5 and like it. I do not however like the fact that they moved to full 3d. 2d graphics were glorious and beautiful and fit into the game like a fist into an inappropriate human orifice.

Lovely theme, quite emotional. I still need to play Suikoden IV and V. I've heard bad things about the former and good things about the other one. I was pretty lucky with this game, I bought it used but in perfect mint condition for 10 dollars back in 2000 or so. Now it's a pretty rare and expensive game. Was it released on PSN? I know the first was.
