Thomas Newman, the composer of many Pixar Movies tends to use that arrangement of strings and piano, look for "Shawshank Redemption" "Jarhead" or Wall-E Soundtrack if you like this one, it gives it that space-like feeling too, I guess the arrangement is what makes it astonishing, so you'll love it :D

Yeah, they might as well have called Halo: ODST. I always used to think that me and my friend could play together on campaign because he had ODST and I had Halo 3.
I love one thing on ODST! Gameplay perfectly reflect position of human soldiers in that war. You can feel from gameplay how helples they feel, but still they have to go on! You know I love spartans stuff too but there even in helpless situation you do not feel so sad cos hell They are spartans! They do not complain they fight!!! But this is different and still magnificent. I love as much ODST as Halo 1,2,3 and also Reach every one of them have something special and beautiful. Long live the HALO!
I've always wondered why it was called Halo 3 ODST when it takes place during Halo 2.
To be honest i'm surprised it took so long for you to upload a song from ODST. I figured it'd be up sooner. But it seems this games soundtrack flew pretty low under the radar, kind of like the whole campaign. A shame really as seeing the Firefly cast back together was only made even better by the atmosphere you could cut with a knife, O'Donnell really outdid himself with this one.

Halo ODST's feel and music were awesome and went together perfectly. It Is an awesome game.
ODST is my favorite Halo game along side the Original Halo:Combat Evolved. (The best of all of them of course) I have been a fan of Martys music since the very fist game. No matter where Bungie goes, as long as they got Marty and his music, any game they make will have a powerful OST to back it up.

I like this shortened version. I find myself skipping the second part of this on my iPod because it just doesn't really fit with this epic part of the song.

Gorgeous piece. Now I hate to incite the Halo fanboys, but Reach's soundtrack just didn't grab me. There was one time I remember distinctly thinking the percussion was getting annoying. That's NEVER happened to me in any game before...

You can say whatever you want about the Halos, but they sure as hell have some really awesome soundtracks. I like pretty much all of them, Reach is my favorite right now, it has a really sad sound to it on some songs.

Think this is my favourite Halo game. I never liked playing as a Spartan and always wanted to play as a marine or ODST. Double whammy of playing as an ODST commanded by Nathan Fillion! Had the soundtrack when it first came out, before I got the game :p

The whole soundtrack is quality. Neon Night or Skyline would probably be my top choice
If you listen to the track "Rain" while it's raining, it's really soothing yet slightly somber. Rain is probably my favorite.

I went with the short version since it basically just consists of my favorite part from the original, without the long atmospheric part. I haven't played this one yet but I'm a fan of its soundtrack. I find this particular track peaceful but powerful at the same time.
