I really liked this game, despite the hate it got
My favorite handheld and cel-shaded Zelda game. There was a lot of charm in ST, the dungeons were more inventive than the previous few iterations in the series, riding around in a train was a blast for me (purely subjective, I realize many people don't care for that aspect but whatever, I love trains!), and I really liked the friendship between Link and Zelda here (which paved the way for the romantic relationship in SS - not a coincidence, since it's the same writers behind both games).
So much fucking nostalgia.

@nonten4 Nah, not the best but it is the hardest one in the series.
@nonten4 I know that your comment was over a year ago, but I still think that people didn't give the DS Zelda games enough credit. Sure, the controls were strange, but they worked, and they were fun when you got used to them. The games themselves still hold up today as great top-down Zelda games, imo.
To me it's the funniest, at least.
And Zelda is actually useful. you get to play as Zelda!! ...kinda.
While i don't agree that it's the best game in the franchise (i personally give that honor to Majora's Mask), i will say that it has the best incarnation of Zelda, and it's got really fun puzzles and great music. Plus those weird creepy sand monsters. It also has those.

Although this game isn't one of the best Zelda, I just loved it. The musics were very nice, especially in the train. It has such a beautiful soundtrack.

Yeah, PH and ST are the weakest links (laughs) in the franchise. Still, there's great songs in both games. Thanks for uploading this! Its actually one of my favorite Zelda tunes!
It didn't even have good music, remember the dungeon music? Idk, I didn't enjoy it and the only reason I played it was 'cause it's a Zelda.
No, I haven't (still trying to get ahold of that Collector's Edition on the GC) but from what I've heard, it's insanely hard. The thing is, I don't hate games for difficulty. What bothered me about PH was the repetitiveness & just the overall lack of quality compared to the other titles.

This game had unique and fantastic music that was all centered around the flute. It feels very Celtic, and I love it! As for the game itself, well... LET ME USE THE D-PAD!
Loved the music. Game was a 4/10 for me. Ugh, wished they didn't add all the dam collection crap. Also had the same problems as PH.
Best music from spirit tracks. It surprised me how beautiful it was, compared with the field themes of other games.
Supra never fails to impress me.

I probably wouldn't like the DS games that much, but after playing Twilight Princess which I thought was by far the worse Zelda ever the DS games seemed alright to me. Then Skyward Sword came out and suddenly I don't think it's that bad any more. I'd be pretty surprised if Nintendo could make a Zelda worse then SS, but that's what I said about twilight princess, so it is very possible.
I loved both Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks. ST is in my top 5 Zelda games, and PH is towards the bottom of my list...but not the worst. I think both are underrated games.
@KingSigy I think that TP is okay...Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks suck in my view. They ARE amazing, but I think that TP beats them in graphics(can't be helped, i know), gameplay, and difficulty. Still, I love the DS ones too. :)
in my opinion PH kinda went the wrong way with the zelda series
I read somewhere a while back that the creator of Zelda said PH was his greatest achievement. I was very disappoint :(
in PH the Ocean temple was what killed the replayabillity for me... I just didnt want to even bother with it

@SupraDarky They probley would have been better on the way because they could have done more. But I thought they all were fun.

This was probably one of the best relationships Link & Zelda had together. Probably because it's the only one where they seem to have a working relationship going on rather than just be really good friends.

I love the Zelda tunes, epic.
I liked PH, but my opinion is slightly biased: it was the first Zelda I ever beat.

The title music for this Game is Epic. I enjoyed it. But I left it on the Tran and couldn't finish it (i was really near the end.) I don't want to replay it. :( Sad
My favorite song from Spirit Tracks is the normal train theme. As good as any Zelda song IMO.

@juna42kela Really? I'm incredibly disappointed that no one else found PH to be a really good game...there are minimal parts that I was bored. Wasn't there a smile on your face when you realized the map that you were drawing was a whale?

I was fine with Phantom Hourglass except for the awful Temple of the Ocean King. That place was so bad I never finished the game and ended up selling it. I haven't played Spirit Tracks and I'm not sure if I'll ever bother. Nice song though.
@SupraDarky couldn't agree with you more on that. A big part of Zelda games for me is the joy of exploring the huge open world, and the trains just made it a pain. I also wasn't completely convinced by the tower, but that at least was an improvement over PH
C'est le seul Zelda que j'ai pas finis, surement le pire Zelda de la série, juste derrière Phantom Hourglass. Je me suis ennuyé dans les deux jeux, les musiques sont moyennes je n'ai pas senti "l'aura" d'un zelda tel que ocarina of time ou wind waker.

I never liked this game, so many things in it just bugged me out. Especially a bug later in the game. Your companion can lift something up and hold it, but oh no, they can't ever drop it.
Phantom Hourglass is the only Zelda game I haven't finished. That sea god temple is so repetitive and - ugh! It's a horrible concept, badly implemented. I was horrified to see it make its way into a game like Zelda. I like Spirit Tracks because I used to want to be a train conductor, and it had a fantastic soundtrack.
I completely concur. Much prefer the console Zeldas.
@SupraDarky I definitely prefer PH over this one. I actually found PH very fun and while it's not the best Zelda, I really really liked the ending. I absolutely despise this game, this is the only Zelda game I don't like. (Aside from the CDi ones of course)
@SupraDarky I'm sorry, but you must have some lackluster taste if this was admist the worst for you and not Faces Of Evil, Wand Of Gamelon, or Zelda's Adventure. :P

@Macedragon37 I loved PH but god, the Ocean temple was repetitive and frustrating.
I thought that PH was amazing...100% completion, all the gems, all the dungeons, the spin ability... and I even played the darn arrow mini game hundreds of times over and turned my DS on occasionally to check for new ship pieces just to collect them all. I think that I finally got the golden hull just a month ago. I was incredibly happy. You guys really didn't like PH? I thought it was amazing...

I didn't like PH so much either, and I didn't even get this one. I'd like to get my hands on Master Quest, Skyward Sword and OoT 3DS though.
Always loved this song, but never got far in the game... didn't hold my attention, just like Twilight Princess.

@SupraDarky That said, I still had some fun with this game. I completed it 100% (unlike PH) so that's generally not a bad sign. My biggest problem was going around the world with the train.

An improvement over PH, but I have to say the 2 DS Zelda games are my least favorite in the series. I find the music in general pretty lackluster (especially PH), the controls simply make me wish I could play with a normal d-pad and the dungeons are mostly boring. There's just something about the layout, everything seems too symetrical and artificial compared to other games in the series.
