Is it really the song that plays in Chapter 4 ? I am dying to identify the theme you hear while visiting the village in that chapter. So quiet and sweet to my ears. I am unable to tell if "The Dike" is really it, cause it sounds like the main theme, but in a peaceful tone. Can't put my finger on it :(

@gronndar It is the Dike I believe, as the theme I'm looking for has no vocals, no pipes. Rivers of life's pipes annoys me (also, spent too much darn time on that Chpater 1) :-)
Try Lakeside & Black Tern Island Night / Day. Those tracks also play in Chapter 4.

In my opinion Witcher 1 had much better soundtrack and atmosphere than Wild Hunt but i love all of these games

Played Witcher 3 last year. WHAT A GAME
The Witcher was the first RPG I truly managed to "get into", probably because it was the first time I really tried to. I'll never forget how immersed I felt wandering around as Geralt to this wonderful soundtrack.
exactly same my first RPG was witcher 1 and i was totally into witcher 1 such good Music!
I generally preferred Witcher 2 over the first, and Witcher 3 has quickly become one of my all-time favorite RPGs, but *good grief* the Witcher 1 was beautiful.

I needed a little while to actually get into this game, since it really didn't age very well. But I repeatedly told myself to give it a chance; to get into the atmosphere, to believe in the characters and story, and to admire the obvious love and care that was put into so many parts of this game. If you enjoy RPGs that deserve the "RP" in their description and you happen to have some spare time, I definitely recommend this game. Just have some patience with it and allow it to grow on you.
Witcher 1 is hard to get into because it definitely has not aged well. Both visuals and gameplay are lacking. But i definitely recommend a buy. Even if you end up finishing the story by watching it on Youtube ^^. It is worth it just to have a better understanding of the jaw-dropping Witcher 2. IMO one of the best video-game stories out there to date and very fun to play. Not to mention it has fantastic visuals. (also it's recommended to get both on GOG. You'll get more extras and they are drm-free)

Its got a great atmosphere, but the combat got really repetitive and the relationship/romance options were stunningly forced to me. Dialogue was bad too. Still a good game, either way.

Honestly, I think Jeremy Soule's music is better. The Morrowind soundtrack when listened to as a whole is unmatched IMO. This is pretty darn good though.
I really should get around to finishing this game someday.

I've started playing this game recently, very impressed so far. This theme plays during the 1st chapter on the outskirts of a town (which is where I'm at right now), it reminds of the kind of music you'd hear in a game like Oblivion. Since it lasts 7 mins, it's a great background song.
