I have this game and this is its best track. The game itself is fun to play but with limited maps. A must buy for turn based strategy lovers.

Massive Assault doesn't seem to be any more of a generic name than Total Annihiliation is to be honest, though. ^^
A bad name could be indicative of a lack of creativity as a whole, so it's hard to say if the name would have saved it. Box art presentation also doesn't sell this to me.
listening to this music, I feel like im in a battlefield.
It's been years but last time I played the demo of this game it was a turn-based strategy game, no Real-time strategy. The AI was really good, I wonder if people still play it online.
I like this song (and this game too). I have a playlist of all the 7 BGM sountracks in this game and play them from time to time just for the music itself. Why the game itself is not so popular might be that it's polish is below par. It's GFX is primitive and glichy, and although its AI is quite smart, it has some major memory leak issues that cause frequent hangs or even crashes. Even a big fan as me can't stand this. But I still enjoy playing it so much - mostly because of the music.

@Aviotes i can see where they would resemble a bit but mass effect doesnt touch base much on music.
this song kind of reminds me of Mass Effect, when you're on the Normandy but I like the Massive Assault version better :)

@stuwee3 It's about as generic as Total Annihilation or Ground Control really. RTS's aren't really known for interesting names. :p

Sadly, I am a collector of "good games under the radar" but not even I heard of this before. Amazing music though, I also love the use of mostly any Piano involved music in games.

I've never played this game, it's an RTS. It got some fair reviews but it seems like it went under most people's radar back when it released. I like this song though, I've always been a fan of that type of electronic piano we can hear at the start and throughout the music.
