Never played Beyond Good and Evil as a kid. Never heard of it. Bought it on PSN last night because I had money to spare and the screenshots looked nice. Loved every second of this game after the credits rolled. The characters were wonderful, as was the soundtrack. I miss Hillys already!
Yeah, this game supposedly didn't sell very well back in the day, that's why there was no sequel of any kind. I believe that the sequel may be in the works though. :)
But however bad the sales, the game manage to build such a strong bond between him and his newly created community of fans. It marked my childhood forever.

why did they change the buttons for the hd version? I know that fighting on PS3 is at the square button normally but I still remembered the old buttons so it is very hard for me :/
it's a real adventure, especially if you don't look up the story. the premise of this game was it's biggest fall, but it's worked out so amazing! even the dutch translation had a-list voice actors ^_^

I just want Christophe Heral to make new music. I've come to terms with the fact that Beyond Good and Evil 2 isn't coming any time soon, and I've pinpointed this music as the largest success of that game. I keep coming back to these tunes over and over again. They have yet to lose their luster.

@Fransinn3 Anything can work for the Wii. You simply need to wonder "Do I want motion controls or not?" If yes, then the answers obvious with the Remote & Nunchuck. If no, then the answer still ought to be obvious(and yet it eludes developers)with Gamecube controller or classic controller, or even the standard nunchuck combo, just not bothering to use any motion controls. Just because they're there doesn't mean they have to be used.
I bought this game back in the day, not really knowing what to expect. Glad I did, this game is a work of art.

It would be awesome if it would be remade on the Wii also. :) But I have never played the game. So I don't know if it would work on the Wii or not.

I got this game a year ago and beat it. My only complaint was that it was too short. Truly a beautiful game though and the soundtrack is a big part of that,

Interesting characters. Lovely music. Story was engrossing, but abit short. The final boss....hated him for so long .><

I still come back and listen to the other BGE songs on your list, they're just that good. This one is no exception.
I'm glad they announced BGE HD because it means Ubisoft is at least still aware this game exists, which in turn means good things concerning BGE 2. This was such a great and refreshing game, loved it.
