Actually Megaman 9 exceeded the maximum possible space of an NES cart. at least without heavy modding to the internals
Technically 9 wasn't on the N.E.S., but it practically was, because it was made with the N.E.S.'s abilities. Graphics, sound, everything. Except the N.E.S. didn't have access to the internet. And some technical stuff, like N.E.S. would flicker and glitch a lot... :/ Megaman 9 & 10 look and play exactly like N.E.S. games, with no improvement on graphics or anything.
Megaman 7 was on the Super NES
Was 9 on the nes? Idk cause i never played it, but i would assume that it wouldn't be. Correct me if im wrong, cause in your statement you said "until 9 came".
Mega Man 7 was on the NES? And no, the 8-bit version doesn't count because that was a fan remake that was made years later.

@jwild611 Yes, I hated how there was only one for SNES. Those graphics were so nice, and I have nothing against 8-bit music, but those were some awesome 16-bit songs.

@DemiSonic I wouldn't say it's one of the weakest. In fact, it's not much different from 1 and 4-6. People just like 2 and 3 so much that the rest hardly get any of attention.

I always had a soft spot for this game. I felt it was much better than the lackluster entries around it, and was easily the best game in the series since MM3.
I like how this has a depressing feel to it, since it's the last Mega Man game for NES for years to come. That is, until 9 came.
