Somehow, it's the creepiest song in the game for me. I think that's because it's saying "You're safe only for a moment, but the second you step out that door, you're back in the fray."
the ink ribbons so useless should of made a cheat code u get like an ink guy uses them up paint the zombies any color that would of been nice to unlock
plus if I may ask: have you played RE6? It's really bad...not sure what happened to Capcom but the story lore looks terrible...
have you uploaded the RE2 version? The save haven of RE2 is very good and I don't remember seeing it on your lists
Oh wow... You know how to surprise me <3 This music almost brings a tear to the eye and chills through my back - this was a great era for Resident Evil. Today it is ruined.

when i first played this game it was hard for me.. when i found a room randomly that had this music. i felt a sense of relief and my heart stopped so hard.. zombie creep me out, seriously.. i bought this game for a fright.. i got one.. awesome game. epic. i remember i couldnt play this game late at night, i was too scared.. hmm and im 23..
This song perfectly fits. This ellicits such a sense of security. It's soothing, but eerie; safety, but only temporarily. There's also a great contrast in this, compared to the rest of the game's music, which, along with the repetitive and simple rhythm, makes the player subconsciously associate this song with being safe from a disparaging, dangerous environment. This song is our psychological guardian from the impending doom of the outside (of the save room) world.

I remember the day this came out and I was so excited, I couldn't believe how good it looked. I used to leave it on in the save room and just nap to this tune, so relaxing.
RE4 had a theme like this too, which I loved.

A short/simple theme but very memorable. The only place where you can actually take a breather and know you're safe from any harm. There's only one other "Save Point" theme that feels just like this one to me, from a cult game on the PS2. Can anyone guess?
